| "W hat if he wins..." Winter trailed off. If Pain won, then the supporters that cane with her would undoubtedly be killed as well. I guess that was just the risk.
Then, Winter turned back to Rose. He was about to do something he had never done before. "I'll go with you to confront Pain." He had never done anything for anyone out of his own will, and it felt kinda nice. Maybe Rose would be thankful for his support and help, and notice him as a silent, creepy ally. Besides, even though he was barely a full grown cat, just an apprentice, he would grow up to be strong and worthy in battle. Maybe she would notice that. Winter didn't think she saw it in him now.

Rose was aware that dying was a possible outcome of what she was going to do, but this was something she had to do. DeathClan had called to her, and she refused to go back as living like a hollow, empty shell. "I don't think he will." She said with a simple shrug.
She blinked, slightly surprised by her offer. So far, the only other 'ally' she had was Sky, who Rose knew was going to try to seize power for herself as soon as she got the chance. "Thank you.. I know this isn't going to be easy, but I have to do it for the good of everyone living here." Rose did not know why, but she felt responsible for the well-being of the cats living here.

| W inter gave a nice smile. His mother used to say that was the best quality about him, his smile. It was bright, and seemed to fill the area, as she had put it. He wondered if it was still that same smile.
He nodded. "You'll probably need as many allies as possible," he said. It wasn't that he didn't think she would win, it was just that if she seemed more intimidating, then Pain wouldn't fight as well. He knew some cats to act that way.

Rose didn't have much of a plan for whenever she actually did become DeathClan's leader. She knew she had to attack the clans, but if she was being quite honest, she had absolutely no idea how to go about it. Perhaps she could do some raids, take hostages, or demand more territory. Rose needed to have another cat she could trust for talking over decisions.
"Well, I have you.. But there's this other cat, Sky. I fairly sure she just wants power for herself, and I'm going to have to kill her." Rose sighed, starting to get a little overwhelmed.

| W inter considered this name for a while, silently. There was a strange absence of words were he was thinking, then he said, "Maybe I can meet her and see how she reacts to you."
His plan was to act as if he was against Rose, then see what Sky had to say about it. If she agreed with him, Rose was right about her. If she disagreed, then Rose had an ally. It was a risk, however, as she might attack Winter.

Winter's offer had no cons on Rose's side, and the only part that could go wrong was if Sky saw through his ruse and decided to attack him. However, Rose got the feeling that Winter knew how to fight, and though Sky's skills might be acceptable for a blind cat, Rose doubted that she would be much of a match.
"If you would be willing to do that, then, yes, I think that would help me see where Sky's loyalties really lie." Rose said cautiously, trying not to be too eager.

| W inter nodded with a smile. He knew she would agree, and he could sense a slight difference in her voice, even if it was barely there. Was it eagerness? It was hard to hide differences, even as small as that from someone such as him.
"Then it shall be done," Winter said calmly. He had no idea where to find this cat, but he had a sense that he could track her down fairly quickly. "What does she look like? Do I need to know anything more about her?"
