Shrewbreaker could not believe the condition of his clan. Now he was the remaining elder. One of the oldest cats alive in the forest. He had lived through four leaders now. Spiritstar in his youth, Beechstar in his warriorship and senior years. Spiderstar's life had been short. Now Arrowstar had control of his clan and it was crumbling apart.
He gingerly rose to his paws and laid back down in a bright spot, letting the warmness of new-leaf soothe his old bones. The thought of the rebels made his tabby pelt bristle. How dare they even form the thought that non-clanborn cats didn't belong in Treeclan?
Shrewbreaker vaguely remembered the day his father, Solarshine, dropped him and Ghostwhisper off. Their mother had been a loner. Solarshine had been an exile. To this day, Shrewbreaker would argue that he and his brother were noble and brave warriors of Treeclan.
But now, he was alone. His brother, his Rockclan sister, his own kits, and his friends were gone. The tom lowered his head to the ground and sighed.

Swanbreeze Swanbreeze was being distracted. She felt like everything around her was literally exploding, and she was stuck. The feline didn't want to be in TreeClan anymore, but she didn't know what else to do. The dwarfed she-cat found herself wandering aimlessly. Swanbreeze usually avoided others, but she stopped as soon as she nearly ran into an older feline. "Uh... oh..." she mumbled to herself, "S-sorry.." She froze in her tracks, really hoping it wasn't a rebel.

Shrewbreaker felt a thump against his back. He whipped around violently, his pelt bristling. When he saw it was just Swanbreeze, his fur flattened. The warrior had not spoken out at the last clan meeting, so he wasn't sure if he could trust her. She seemed tame enough though. Her nervousness probably didn't make her take either side. "No, it's quite alright."
The elder pointed to the fresh-kill pile. "Mind getting me something?"

Swanbreeze The small warrior swallowed, her tail curling underneath her. "A-alright.." she mumbled. The feline wasn't keen on talking to others, but she knew better than to just walk away. "O-oh.. s-s-sure.. anything specific?..." she mewed, lowering her head.
