[Kitepaw]

kitekit purred as he fiddled with the tiny, soft, white feather that lay in his silver paws. there was a smile on his face as he leaned down to boop it with his nose, which resulted in a loud sneeze- he twitched his nose afterwards and continued what he was doing, slightly embarrassed.

[Hickorypaw]

"Where'd you get the feather?" Hickorykit placed her head on the corner of the nest, lazily watching her brother. She wasn't too interested in playing with it herself, but it was definitely pretty. Perhaps she could find her own later and use it to decorate the nest. She blinked with amusement as it caused her brother to sneeze, not at all surprised. "I don't think you're supposed to inhale them, Kitekit."

kitekit smiled widely at the sound of his sister, hickorykit, speaking to him. he turned to her and shrugged, glancing back at the feather in his paws through the corner of his eye. "just in the camp somewhere... it probably fell of a bird or something," he guessed, snorting at her comment.

"thanks, I didn't know that," he said sarcastically, although his tone held humour. he stuck his pink tongue out.

"Lucky," she purred, padding over and dropping beside her brother. She sent him a fond glance despite his sarcasm. "Could have fooled me." Hickorykit reached up a paw to try and bab her brother's pink tongue. If Kitekit could joke then so could she.

[Kitepaw]

kitekit smirked, pulling away and crinkling his nose when hickorykit touched his tongue, "yuck," he said simply, putting his tongue back in his mouth and covering it in saliva before poking it back out at her. "no, that's nasty," the tabby said, his voice distorted slightly.

Hickorykit erupted into a peal of laughter, swaying slightly away from her brother. "Nearly swallowing a feather is ok, but you can't handle my paw?" She challenged gleefully. The way he was scolding her was too much and she continued laughing, eyes slitted cheekily. With a playful growl she lunged back towards her brother and attempted to loop her paws around his neck. "Well, take this then! All my germs." Her tongue came out and Hickorykit attempted to lay it on Kitekit wherever she could.

kitekit grunted at hickorykit's challenge, trying to hide the smirk that graced his face.

"ew! stop! no!" he squealed loudly, rolling onto his side when hickorykit began to start licking him. he flailed his tufted paws towards his sister's face, trying to get her off. this was disgusting- he was covered in saliva.

She'd only been teasing so her attack didn't last too long. She retracted her tongue and ceased the half loving, half teasing groom. "You know, you'll never be able to share tongues with other warriors if you don't work on that," she joked, nudging her brother's shoulder.

Standing up the kit gave a slow stretched, her tail pluming. "Though if it really did bother you..I'm sorry."

kitekit grunted again, "i don't think other warriors are going to be attacking me with their tongues," he retorted, although humour was present in his voice. he shook his long-ish fur when nudged, letting out a small squeak and falling dramatically on his side.

"nah, it's fine," he purred, rolling onto his back.

Hickorykit eyed Kitepaw then shot her brother a wink "One day when you find yourself a nice mate they will," she purred, laughter in her voice. It was far too young to be thinking about such things in her opinion, but teasing Kitekit was so fun. She gave her pelt a brisk shake and got to her paws, deciding it was best to leave Kitekit alone after all the torture she'd inflicted.

"I'm glad brother." Hickorykit nodded with genuine relief. She would have truly felt bad if her actions had actually caused Kitekit distress. "I better go. There was a really pretty bird on the fresh-kill pile and I was going to use its feathers to line my nest. Maybe if you're lucky I'll do yours as well." She was already planning to but Kitekit didn't need to know that. She gave her brother one last flick on the ear with her tail then galavanted away.

kitekit stuck his tongue out in disgust, "that's nasty!" he grumbled, flattening his ears to his head.

"okay then," he offered a small smile and purred as hickorykit walked away, "bye!"
