![]() Spottedpaw Spottedpaw was happy about that first catch. He then decided next place was Blossom Pool. He started to travel there.
Once he got there, he tried to sniff the air. It took a while for him to get any scent at all, and got a faint smell of mouse. He looked for it for a while, and found it near a few rocks, and got into a crouch, he tried to get downwind from it, and dodge all obstacles. He flinched as he didn't realize a rock underneath his paw, and the mouse started to run, but he caught it's tail just in time. He then killed it, a little less cleaner than usual, and brought it over to where he buried the vole.

Shiningflame nodded, following him back before stepping out of the shadows. "Very good," she nodded. "Now for the fighting part," she said, crouching down and strikingly out with a paw to see how Spottedpaw would react.

![]() Spottedpaw Spottedpaw turned to face her quickly, and dodged backwards just in time for her paw to just get his fur. he crouched down as well, balancing as much as he can. He then lunged forward quickly, trying to push her over.

Shiningflame nodded as Spottedpaw dodged, allowing herself to be hit by the next attack but not thrown off balance. Taking a step away from Spottedpaw, so crouched down defensively.

Shiningflame stepped aside to dodge the attack, noting how Spottedpaw had even thought to back up. She then pounced. It was a gentle pounce that wouldn't hurt much if it acctually landed, but it also would allow her to keep her balance if he dodged.

![]() Spottedpaw Spottedpaw was hit, but he then quickly got to her feet. He crouched there for a moment to catch his breath, then he tried to run to her side and smack her a few times with his paws.

Shiningflame was hit by the attack, and sat after with a nod "I think that's good," she said, keeping her face blank as to not let on whether Spottedpaw had passed. That way she would be surprised.

Shiningflame simply nodded and dismissed the apprentice. "Be sure you pick up your prey before you head off," she said with a slight cool note in her voice.

![]() Spottedpaw Spottedpaw nodded, and went off a ways to where the prey was buried. He got each one gently, looked at his mentor, then marched back to camp.
