Redfang carried out his morning routine in essentially the same fashion he always did; he woke up before the sun had crested the horizon, leaving the dawn skyline a soft pink that was gradually shifting into more vibrant reds and oranges and yellows. He ate a quick breakfast, a small hare with a bit more fat on it than there would have been less than a moon ago. However, underneath the simplicity of his morning activities, Redfang was brimming with excitement. His apprentice, Tinypaw, had her final assessment today, the last step to warriorhood. He had every confidence that she would pass, although he couldn't suppress the occasional bout of nervousness; this would be the first apprentice he'd trained to full warriorhood. Does that make me old? he thought absently as he gazed up toward the brightening sky. Once the sun had completely cleared the horizon, the ruddy warrior turned and padded over to the apprentices' den. "Rise and shine, Tinypaw," he called quietly into the den, then retreated back out into the camp to wait for his apprentice.

It was early in the morning, the sun just beginning to crest over the horizon. Its rays barely reaching down into the fireclan camp. Inside the camp, nestled in her nest, was a small ginger tabby by the name of Tinypaw. Though while she rested peacefully her mind was running like her paws that were carrying her in her dreamlike state. But all that was disturbed as a quiet, gentle voice broke through her thoughts. "Rise and shine, Tinypaw." It was her mentor, Redfang. Her body twitched, and she slowly emerged from the dark blanket of sleep. She lifted her head, yawning, before standing up and stretching out the rest of her body. She padded quietly out of the den and into the bright camp of Fireclan. Her paws carried her over to the fresh-kill pile where she selected a small pheasant for her morning meal. She dragged it over to the corner of the camp where Redfang stood, settling beside him and began eating. In between bites she looked up at her mentor, swallowing what was in her mouth, "Good morning, Redfang. What are we doing today?" She asked, taking another mouthful of her pheasant, waiting for her mentor to answer.

(sorry for the delayed response ~)
Redfang looked down at his apprentice and grinned, his excitement overwhelming any feelings of nervousness he'd had. He recalled his own assessment, and how happy he'd been when he'd gotten his warrior name. Tinypaw was ready for this, he was sure of that. "Today, my dear apprentice, is your assessment," he replied cheerfully.
