Needleclaw entered the warriors den with a purpose. It was just before sundown, too early for most of the warriors to be going to sleep, but he was sure he had seen Squirrelbite slip in here not long ago. He hadn't been able to talk to the she-cat since their shared ceremony together, when he had become a warrior, and now that she had joined his ranks he thought it would be appropriate for them to converse again. He had very much enjoyed their previous conversation, and was looking forward to one of a similar caliber--he needed someone to help him bring the fire back into the rebellion, it felt like the other rebels were content with letting it die down. He knew that Squirrelbite was smart, even as a kitten she had shown great promise, and he was eager to see how her mind had developed--hoped that she held the same fire she had as a kitten. "Hey," the tabby grinned as he spotted the she-cat, "congratulations on becoming a warrior.'

Squirrelbite was rather exhausted after her vigil, and as soon as it was dawn, she'd headed to her new den to select a nest and get some rest before her first full day as a warrior. At around sun-high, she woke up and went out hunting, returning with a mouthful of prey and went back to the warrior's den for more sleep.
Hearing a familiar voice, Squirrelbite lifted her head, smirking slightly at the sight of Needleclaw. "Thanks," She mewed, her dark eyes practically glowing. "Now that I don't have to focus on training, I can work on more important things." There was an edge to her voice, and Squirrelbite knew that Needleclaw would understand exactly what she was talking about.

Needleclaw smirked, knowing instantly what Squirrelbite was referring to. He didn't mind his apprentice, be he wished that she had been given to someone else so that he could spend his time working with the rebellion. Although, Maplepaw had yet to choose a side on the matter and the tabby thought he was doing a good job at converting her to their cause. "Things seem to be slowing down," he said with a hint of bitterness, "hopefully the pace will pick up now that we're nearly equal to the dungbloods in warriors. Although, every one of our warriors is worth two of theirs," he rolled his shoulders back, "I bet we'd be able to take over the camp if Yellowstar led an attack on it."

Squirrelbite was confident in her skills, and she was even more confident that cats would underestimate her and therefore give her the upper hand. No one had seen was a good battler she was yet, and Squirrelbite planned on holding back until the moment was perfect. Not even Needleclaw would see it coming.
"With ease." Squirrelbite agreed passively, licking her recently scarred shoulder. "Arrowstar is hardly around anymore, we could just take over and I doubt any cat would notice." The idea amused her, and even though she was exaggerating, she was serious about Arrowstar's absence.
