Clove woke just as promised as the bright orb of the sky was barley in the sky it's self. She padded to the apprentice den with ease, and felt little rigger. "@jcoonoranges , Little time to Waste" she hissed quietly. Before stepping away and awaiting his company by the tunnel.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw blinked his eyes open slowly, noticing his mentor. What are we doing now? he thought to himself. The warrior-aged tom stood up tall, and walked out of the den, and to the entrance.

She flicked her tail as the sleepy male joined her. "We hunt today," She said with a plain tone. Shaking her head as a small breeze danced and tickled her ear fur, she stood. "I plan on giving your assessment with in the next sunrise if you think you're up for it." Her eyes turned to him hoping for some sort of reaction. With out much more she turned to the tunnel and padded towards the world out side of the camp.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw's face drooped. I.. thought today would be an assessment? I may as well be an elder before I become a warrior.. The tabby shrugged it off. He nodded, At least I'll actually get one..

She caught wind of his disappointment and she gave a smirk. She could care less if he was ranked a warrior. Her job was to make sure he would be ready for it, regardless of how long it took. Of course he was getting the bottom end of things... maybe she should take it easy... nah. She flicked her tail. "Smell anything?" she asked as she would to any one of her apprentices.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw stretched out his body, then followed her out into the territory. He sniffed around for a while, then hesitated. "There's a bird close by, and.. I believe a mouse further off in.. that direction," he said, pointing.

She narrowed her optics slightly listening to him as he explained where he could scent a bird and where he was assuming a mouse to be. Giving a more or less thoughtful expression she nodded. "Let see how well you fair against the bird." She started to pad in the preys direction with out much more or less warning she lowered her self encouraging him to do the same to make sure they wouldn't scare it away. Once close enough she motioned to him. Telling him to hunt.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw nodded when she gave the signal. He crouched, his ears forward as he crawled toward the bird. His eyes fluttered a bit between the bird and the ground, making sure he knew where he was going. As he got closer, he attempted to pounce, higher than he would lunge for a mouse or rodent, since birds can fly. He trapped a wing underneath his paw, and quickly snapped its head before it made much more noise.

She watched pleased with his success. Her optics narrowed slightly at his movements making sure to not miss a single breath or twitch. He had done well, his steps and precaution was that of a warriors. She blinked slowly after he finished the kill with a smooth snap. "Well done," she offers with a wave of her tail. She didn't care to much for praise and found it amusing that the clan cats seemed to think they deserved it for every other thing they did. Though he had done well she couldn't lie about that. "Lets hunt a bit longer. Then we can get back, you'll need a good rest before your assessment."

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw nodded, he heard the word 'assessment' and imediately walked off, toward where he believed the mouse would be if it was still there. It took longer for him to find it, since he believed it was right here. He walked further, assuming it had moved from before. He then spotted the creature, he crouched down. He realized how the mouse was ready to run, and without any further movement, the mouse darted away.

She noted his expression and intimidate reaction he had at the word 'assessment' it amused her slightly. She watched him scamper off towards the scent of a mouse. However she didn't follow. Instead she turned in another direction to make her own hunt. A faint trail of vole had caught her attention. Trailing it till she was able to find the small creature scampering about she switched mind sets. Giving into the hunt fully. Moving with much skill and grace she made a clean kill. Returning to where he had caught the bird she sat and waited. He would return sooner or later. In the mean time she let her mind wander...

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw's nose twitched with a small bit of annoyance, but he decided to bring back two pieces of prey, for the one he missed. He went further off, and found another mouse, a bit smaller, than the first. The tabby positioned himself better, and more downwind before advancing. He pounced and caught it cleanly, burying it before looking for another. He looked, and found a huge-looking mouse.. no, a rat. He never had seen a live one, and rarely saw dead ones on the pile. He felt more determined than logical and practical to catch it. He crouched, and moved toward it, and it started to freeze. Tigerpaw quickly pounced after it, trapping it a bit messily under his claws. However, he did catch it, and he was proud. The tom then marched back to where he caught the bird with the rat and mouse.

Her thoughts drifted towards her kit- when she snapped away from the plaguing memory. She glanced to Tiger and before even having to see it she could smell it. Rat. She blinked slowly as impressive as it was, she didn't think he needed praise. Besides it was like hunting a fat mouse anyways. The smell alone provoked memories of deathclan rat was most commonly found in the dumps of the place but made for a good meal.. she gave a sniff picking up his bird, and her vole. She flicked her tail and angled her ears towards the camp. She padded that way till she was able to deposit the catch. She turned to look over her shoulder. "You've done your work, you're welcomed to eat." She turned like she was to take her leave and added "Sleep well. It might be your last night as an apprentice." With that she padded away leaving him at the kill pile.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw blinked, and nodded, following with the rat in his mouth. He dropped it in the pile, and decided it would be nice to give it to the queens, maybe tomorrow. The tom picked a small, older mouse for himself and tried to keep his cool about being a warrior. The tom finished the mouse and went to the apprentice's den to sleep.
