Ashtail The blind feline was wandering the territory, she missed her past life, but she thought this would have to do. The dark furred tabby stretched out her legs, before she realized the different scent. These scents.. they're stupid. Now all cats smell the same. She raised an eyebrow, from the wooden scent, believing it was the border to TreeClan.

Ashfall needed to stop wandering so close to borders. He liked to blame it on the civil war, but maybe the problem was just that he didn't know how to deal with it. Or what to do about it. Something like that. Ashfall shook his head, slowing his pace when he found that the forest floor he was familiar with was starting to fade into more rocky terrain. Hee stopped at the border, looking around and tasting the air to see if anyone was there. Might as well check the border while he was here, right? TreeClan didn't need problems from outside the clan when it had enough coming from within. He caught the scent of another cat- an IceClan warrior.
"I'm not looking for any trouble," he said, just in case. Since he was a warrior, he guessed that more of his duty now- to check for trouble when there shouldn't be any. Hopefully the other warrior was peaceful.

Ashtail Ashtail gave a sigh, and was about to turn back. She smelled a stronger scent, and pointed her head toward the border once more. Hearing a voice, she huffed. The tabby frowned, in DeathClan, everyone looked for trouble. Purposefully. Even her, fights were common and all. "Then what's the point about saying so?" she growled.

Ashfall stiffened slightly at her words, not liking the tone of her voice, the the implications behind what she said. He swallowed thickly before straightening his spine in an attempt to seem taller and more brave than he actually felt. Judging from her scars, though, she'd been in several battles- many more than Ashfall had.
"Just letting you know I don't want any," Ashfall said, trying to keep his voice calm. "If you are, though, I have to ask you to keep it to your side of the border. I don't want to have to fight, but I will defend my clan." At least he sounded a little more confident than he really was.

Ashtail Ashtail rubbed her face a few times with a paw, angry at herself for doing so, since the scars on her face felt irritated. The tabby came up closer, still not crossing the border, but nearly. Ashtail flicked an ear, "Oh? Trouble on my side of the border isn't trouble at all." The tabby gave a frown again, "You seem so sure, protecting your clan. Your clan must love you," she stated, her tail slowly swaying. WORD COUNT :: 076

Ashfall flattened his ears as she came closer, resisting the urge to flinch. He managed to stay his ground, not moving from his spot stationed at the border. "That wasn't what I meant-" he began, but he knew better than to try and tell her what he had been trying to say. It wasn't that he thought any IceClan trouble wasn't his concern- he just had to keep it away from TreeClan. Especially now that things were already so tense within the clan. Any conflicts from other clans would just divide them further.
Loved him? Sometimes it felt like most of the clan hardly noticed him. And with the civil war going on, it seemed like they were all too busy to really love anyone. "Step away from the border," he said, unusually coldly. He didn't want to admit that her words had already gotten to him.

Ashtail Ashtail felt amused when he didn't finish the sentence. The feline huffed, moving to the point where she was half a tail-length from the border. "You think I'd listen to you?" she said, her tail flicking. "I haven't passed the border." She yawned a bit, "Would you hurt a blind cat?"
