Brightwing found herself by Blossom Pond for reasons she... Wasn't sure of. She still remembered vividly the time she and Swanfrost had spent here as apprentices. Somehow, the devon rex had found herself covered in mud. She'd tried to jump into the pond to wash it off, but it took Brightwing's help to rid herself of the irksome mud.
The ghost of a smile found its way onto her face before it faded as quickly as it came.
She sighed, from where she laid down at the edge, allowing her paws to dip over the pond's edge. She... Really wasn't sure what she was doing here. Her and Swanfrost was over. The thin-pelted she-cat didn't want anything to do with Brightwing, so the tabby wouldn't push it.
She'd reconciled with Mudclaw and it helped a little but... This aching pain that left her feeling empty and like she was being swallowed whole all at once... It wouldn't go away. She gave up on happiness a long time ago. She sort of... Settled for existing as a useful asset for Fireclan.
She sighed.
She spotted some ripples traveling across the pond, and she lifted her head from where it was resting on the edge to see another cat across the pond. She blinked with an unreadable expression.

((im smh ive been neglecting cherry so much lately)) Cherrypaw had found herself outside of the loop when it came to drama recently. All of her friends were warriors now, besides for Aloepaw, who she hadn't seen in quite some time. She couldn't help but wonder if that were due to something she had done, and he were avoiding her. Instead of getting worked up over the thought, though, Cherrypaw simply made a mental note to talk to him about it the next time she saw him. The bobtail had never been one to get worked up over such trite things.
She'd traveled to Blossom Pond for some hunting as well as sight-seeing, finding the small body of water to be peaceful and pretty. Lowering her head, she lapped at the water and when she looked back up, there was a familiar cat staring at her from across the pool.
"Oh, hey Brightwing." Cherrypaw remembered the she-cat from their territory tour. "I haven't seen you in a while."
