kitepaw continued to smile, tiliting his head as he also made his way towards the tree's trunk and looked up at the leaves, "how do you... get up?" he asked, partially to himself as he reached up and dug his claws into it as high as he could without lifting himself off the ground. "ummm..." he said with confusion, looking over at cherrypaw to see what she was doing.

"First we have to get to the branches, I think," Cherrypaw mewed, staring up at the light streaming through shafts and leaves, and imagining herself up there. The view would be so pretty.
The graceful she-cat looked over at Kitepaw and purred, letting out a mrow of amusement. "I think that's a good start." She commented and took a step back before jumping, digging all four unsheathed paws into the bark and clinging to the base.

kitepaw nodded, reaching his paw upwards towards the branches before putting it back where it was previously and wriggling his hips to get ready to try jump up a little.
"thanks," he said, matching her amused ton before he removed his back paws from the ground and tried to dig the claws into the bark.he ended up falling, but quickly recovered from it and tried again, copying what cherrypaw was doing.

Cherrypaw unhooked a paw from the tree and attempted to pull herself farther up the trunk, only to lose her grip and plop back onto the ground harmlessly. She wasn't one to get upset over trite things, letting out a hiss of frustration that turned into a giggle.
"Whoops.." Cherrypaw sighed. If only they could ask for help, but she doubted there was any TreeClan cat who would be keen on teaching two FireClan apprentices how to climb a tree. She stepped back, looking at squirrels that nimbly maneuvered their way up and down the bark of various trees. "I think we've got the right idea, it'll just take a little bit of effort."
