he sighed, a frown on his face. a bird sounded, its beautiful singing taking him back to simpler times. he followed the noise, watching as it perched up on a high branch.
no, wait-
he looked down sharply, a few branches under, to find two cats in a tree. one dark as night, looked so familiar. the other looked somewhat familiar, but he was sure he didn't know them.
he bared his teeth, too far away to recognize who they were.

Calista's breath hitched as she turned. It was a scent but... was it the scent she had been hunting down for so long with no luck? Judging from Loki's reaction, it probably was. Well, that and the cat's own attitude. She prepped herself to jump down but then hesitated. To Greyfang she was dead. What would he think about her never letting them know she was acctually alright? She flicked the thought away and jumped down from to tree, gracefully landing and taking a few steps towards the other cat. The s sent was so on spot. It had to be him.
"Grey?" she asked, holding back any emotions in case the cat wasn't acctually him.
(That's fine. And Grey, not playing Aedion is also alright.)

L oki watched as Cali jumped down almost instantly, a mild look of disgust and bewilderment on his face. He, truely, had no idea how to react, but he followed her down as well. Last time he saw Gray, the cat had tricked him. He felt betrayed at the sight of the gray cat, even if it wasn't his brother. Loki quickly stepped in front of Cali. "What if that's not Grayfang. What if it's another hostile cat?" he warned, giving her a concerned look. They were still hidden from sight by the ferns in front of them.

Calista rolled her eyes, then her mind flashed to the midnight pelt haunting her dreams and pale. She shook her head, forcing her face to be indifferent. "Then it's still a grey cat we should be nice to but no... this is Grey. I can feel it." she said, attempting to walk past him.

L oki winced. "You're suppose to be dead. Maybe I should warn him before," and without waiting for an answer, he leaped out of the ferns and landed, posed in a wide stance, in front of the cat, which he certainly knew now, was Grayfang. Loki nearly reeled his head back in surprise, his glowing green eyes suddenly a bit wider. It was so strange to see him, his brother, again. "How's life, Grayfang..." he nearly hissed, narrowing his eyes and lowering his head a bit.

the two cats approached him, then the dark one jumped before him; landing in a wide stance. grayfang's eyes widened. he dismissed the males obvious anger, rushing to him; "brother!" he yelled, although they were not far apart. "I've been looking for you every-"
his voice stopped abruptly as the other cat he spotted came into view, a female. she looked so familiar. but no- that's not possible. a mate? ravenblaze's mate? no... a friend? it couldn't be.
as grayfang got a clearer view of the female, his blood ran cold. no-
grey?
no. no, no.
"ravenblaze?" he looked at his brother, "who. is. this."
((Sorry I sped it up a bit? And it's written pretty badly Idk? And I'm assuming he still thinks his brother's name is ravenblaze.))

L oki gave a frown as his brother rushed to him, but ended up smiling a small bit. It was nice to have his big brother back. He sighed when Grayfang noticed Cali. "Willowsong..." his voice cut off and he looked over at Cali, a sad look on his face. Maybe it would be better if she explained.

Calista ducked her head slightly at her old name. "Acctually, it's Calli now." she said as she made her way forward so she was beside Loki and more squarely in front of Greyfang... and that put her in a position where she could acctually see him. She opened her mouth to explain more, but no words came out. When she had found Loki, at least she was certain he was alive. With Greyfang, she had thought he was dead so long. She took a small step back and turned her head away. She didn't want them to see her cry. She didn't want to cry either, but she was back with her family and... it all just came pouring down on her.

grayfang narrowed his eyes, all the emotions rushing out and away from him, being replaced with anger. "no." he growled. "willowsong is dead. she burned."
((Dang it gray so dramatic. disappointed.))

L oki flattened his ears as the two started to fight. He knew that both of them had thought the other died. They both thought Loki was the only family they had left, and now they knew that each other were alive, and instead of rejoicing, this is how they acted? "Stop it! Both of you," Loki snarled, stepping between them with an intense expression on his face. He gave Gray a look that said 'come on,' then he whipped his head to Cali with a glare, then slightly relaxed it. His expression told her, 'you should be happy.' It was obvious he had grown up.

Calista narrowed her eyes, deciding to start up an Aelin/Rowan(excuse the reference) type conversation. Aka, one created fully of facial expressions. She shook her head to say, "stay out of this for now" and turned to face Greyfang. She saw that Loki was trying to stop the two from fighting, but she had learned quite a bit from her time alone. And been through a lot. "You mother father and Loki were all supposed to be dead." she elaborated.

L oki flattened his ears even further and took a step away from her, more towards Grayfang. She didn't really think he was suppose to be dead, did she? After all, it was hard to kill him. He felt slightly strange when Cali mentioned their parents, or at least, her parents. Cali belonged to Lightningstrike and Featherbreeze, just as Grayfang does. Or at least, did, but now their dead. Loki was the only one who wasn't their spawn. He felt slightly hurt by her words, even though they weren't directed at him. It was strange how much she changed in the few minutes between before and after they ran into Grayfang. ((i spent three hours drawing a picture, I'm very proud of it. I'll link it to both of you :3))

grayfang shifted his paws, doing everything he could to keep his sanity and his claws, sheathed. gray snapped his attention on Loki, his brother. the only one who could trust. not this lying she-cat he wish wasn't here.
grayfang snarled, a low growl underwing deep within his chest and ripping out his throat. "why would you think we all are supposed to be dead, but not you?"
"I just find that terribly amusing, sister." the worst thoughts popped into his head, reasons of how did the fire start. how did everyone he love end up dying; how did she think they were all supposed to be dead; but not herself? she disappeared after the fire, she was dead. she should be dead. she should have burned.
((AHAH THIS IS GETTIN GOOD!!!can't wait to see tiki c;))

Cali cleared her face. "I had thought you were all dead. I saw a firey tree fall on all of you. I couldn't stay. If I did I would-" she shook her head. "I'm a girl. I thought our liniage was dead save for me. If I had stayed in those conditions, what do you think would have happened? I would have either have been thought of as a threat to the new ruler, or I would be made his mate." she took a few steps back, hoping that if she couldn't hold back her tears, at least she could be far enough to get away before they say. "I'm sorry."
