"oh dear, child." grayfang laughed, a warm, rumbling sound that resided in his chest. "then get comfortable." he added, stretching his paws out and touching the cold rock he laid on.
he kept his gaze on her, studying her movements. he wondered how long she'd stay. maybe he could find out some more things about the, Rockclan, or her. he blinked before speaking.
"rockclan." he paused, looking down towards the rock he laid on. "a smart choice of words, what with the terrain." he noted, all the rocks and rough territory coming into view. "I still don't know your name," he mewed, a curious look in his eyes.

Rainpaw bit back a retort about not being a child and listened quietly to Grayfang, trying to understand what kind of cat he was. The loner didn't seem interested in hunting on RockClan territory or attacking her, which didn't leave a lot of options.
She tilted her head to the side. Being a loner sounded awfully boring, perhaps he was just doing his for fun. If that was the case, then Rainpaw didn't appreciate being used to pass the time. "What reason do I have to tell you my name?" Rainpaw, once again, responded evasively.

"unless you want to keep be referred to as 'girl' or 'child.'" he replied.

"Shadowpaw." The dark she-cat answered, rattling off the first name that came to mind. She couldn't help but wonder if she was a good enough liar to fool him, and how Grayfang would react to being deceived.

gray rolled his eyes at the fake name. the she-cat could learn a bit more in the art of trickery.
"I'm just gonna call you blue." He said sweetly, innocently, as he noticed her eyes.
he thought for a moment, before asking another question. "how's it like, being apart of a clan?" his forced his face to turn neutral, sparing blue his emotions.
he missed Asgard, he missed being a warrior there. he enjoyed the feeling of knowing that he could protect a whole clan, that everyone thought of him as one of the highest.
now all that feeling was replaced with was the knowledge that he failed his clan. he couldn't save him.
he was fairly certain he couldn't even save himself.

Rainpaw didn't really mind the nickname, she liked her eyes. The dark blue color reminded her of a night sky, which were really pretty, in Rainpaw's opinion. Much prettier than any cat she'd ever met.
His question was understandable, but she felt like there was more to it than he was letting on. Up until now, Grayfang had been charming and full of personality, but now he had made himself more stone-y and emotionless. Interesting.
"It's really nice." Rainpaw answered genuinely, breathing out softly as she allowed herself to feel her love and protectiveness for RockClan. "I would gladly give my life for any of my clan-mates."

grayfang nodded, giving blue a tired smile. "sa-," he caught himself, covering it up with a cough. He cleared his throat. "sounds lovely." he had almost replied with 'same,' almost given blue the satisfaction of mistake. "sorry." he mewed, "thirsty." he hoped that would help cover his slip-up.
he sat up, curling his tail around his paws. he suddenly found himself wishing he was dark as his brother, but his silver-streaks denied those thoughts. at least they sorta blended in with the moonlight, song with the darker parts of his coat.
he simply stared at blue, wondering if she was to ask him any questions. she was obviously intelligent, maybe she was piecing things together. he hoped her clan-mates acknowledged her, a gray would think of her to be a good member of a clan. she seemed strong, courageous-well that much was proven as she chose to stay until he left,- and determined.

Rainpaw's curiosity only continued to heighten the longer she talked to him. He seemed to be a bit distressed by the topic of clans, but he was the one who'd brought it up in the first place. Given that, his name, and the fact that he hadn't known RockClan's name.. Rainpaw wasn't one to make assumptions, so she decided not to come to a conclusion.
"What about you? You know my home, where are you from?" Rainpaw asked, not dancing around the subject.

grayfang shook his head, pointing his nose towards the sun that slowly started to peak out. "it's sunrise, and I don't feel like running into any of your clanmates." he meowed, his accent thick and heavy. "if you really want to know more, meet me again when the moon is full and bright."
"if you dare." he added with a devilsh wink, turning and headed on his way towards the canyons. "See ya, Blue." he yelled over his shoulder, soon disappearing from sight.
((I loved their interaction it was cute ouo If you'd like another thread 'during' a fullmoon with them, I could make it?))

Rainpaw was a bit confused by his offer, not understanding why he would ever want to see her again. She didn't have any business talking to him, but if he was going to be hanging around the border again, then Rainpaw would have to make sure he didn't cross.
After hesitating a moment, she dipped her head. "We'll see if I can make it," She mewed, her eyes glinting as she began to move her tired paws back home.
((that'd be great!))
