"He wont." Emberkit blinked, stating the obvious. She didn't know how old he was, but leaders never seemed to make it to become an elder, so she assumed he would be dead soon. She didn't feel bad for Dovekit one bit- at least she knew who her father was.
"Are you hungry?" Emberkit questioned, changing the subject. Food was always a good ice breaker, and she doubted anything could go wrong there. Besides, she hadn't eaten yet.

"Yeah." Dovekit frowned, not appreciating Emberkit's callous attitude. She hoped that the smug little she-kit would die young, before Fallenstar or Dovekit, and would have to spend her days in CloudClan, looking down on them for moons and moons.
She didn't say that out loud, though, considering that it was extremely dark and being that rude would be the same as stooping to her level. "I guess. Do you wanna share something?"

"Yep." Emberkit nodded her head, bounding to the prey pile, looking over it all. "What do you want?" She questioned, trying hard not to be selfish. She knew that it certainly wouldn't get her any friends if she was. Besides, she had picked first for the game hey played, so it only seemed fair.

Dovekit shrugged, trying to quickly choose a favorite piece of prey. "Fish is nice." She mewed. Apparently, other clans thought that IceClan was weird for eating fish, but she didn't understand why. If cats weren't meant to eat fish, then CloudClan wouldn't have made it so tasty.

Emberkit nodded in agreement, glad that Dovekit had chosen something she liked. Snatching a rather large one off the pile, Emberkit moved towards Dovekit, dropping it at her paws. "Cool, I like fish a lot."

Licking her lips, Dovekit eagerly leaned in, taking the first bite. The small she-kit had enough of an appetite that finishing their shared meal wouldn't be a problem.
"Me too." She said after finishing chewing. "I can't wait until I get to learn how to catch them." Dovekit knew that fish were found in the water, and water-hunting sounded so fun.

Emberkit nodded enthusiastically. "I just can't wait until I learn how to fight! I hope I get a skilled mentor." Her eyes gleamed at the thought of her as an apprentice, learning how to battle. She would be the best fighter her clan had ever seen.
Emberkit took a large bite from the scaley creature, purring as the taste reached her tongue. She had a rather large appetite, considering her size.

Dovekit ate ravenously, trying to get the best parts before Emberkit could. Her favorite part was the middle, with all of the meat and guts. "Me too. Maybe Cinderflame. Fallenstar seems too busy to have an apprentice.." After all, the leader had to be busy, or why wouldn't we have visited Dovekit by now?

Emberkit fought just as hard to get to the middle. She was hungry, so she went for the most filling part, which Dovekit just so happened to be eating. "Cinderflame seems okay, but I would rather learn from a warrior."

"Cinderflame is a warrior." Dovekit responded with a frown, taking a pause to let Emberkit eat whatever she wanted. A deputy was like a warrior, they were just more important and better than regular warriors.

"I meant just a warrior." Emberkit clarified, shaking her head. She purred when Dovekit moved, eating quickly it its insides.
