"You didn't deny it." Swanfrost pointed out, drugging.
Swanfrost couldn't help but frown as Brightwing explained her situation with Mudclaw. "Let him decide for himself if he wants to get involved, that's really all you can do." She offered her advice. When Brightwing mentioned leaving, Swanfrost cast an unsure glance over her shoulder at the border. "I know how you feel." She muttered.
-my muse ran away. When Brightwing leaves, do you think these two could stay in touch over the border?-

((Hmm... Not sure. We'll see how it goes, I guess?
Brightwing shrugged uselessly. "... It's not that I absolutely need you... It's just... I want you around. But if you don't want that, I won't stop you from avoiding me for the rest of our natural lives."
She shut her eyes. "... He's going to get involved. I know him. But..." Her breath was shaky. "I just... I can't see him hurt again. Especially not if I could stop it." She didn't sound particularly like she was going to change her mind. She sighed, and looked longingly over the border. She wasn't sure whether to tell Swanfrost that her mind was essentially made up to leave already. No. She shouldn't tell her.

Swanfrost blinked, not saying anything for a moment. It wasn't that she felt awkward... she just wasn't really sure how to talk to Brightwing anymore. Maybe she never had. Swanfrost didn't exactly know how to function in a friendship. She knew that Willowspirit and Brightwing probably felt the same. Then again, Brightwing atleast had Mudclaw.
She followed her gaze over the border, head tilted. "What are you looking at?" She questioned.

Brightwing shook her head gently. ".... It's nothing." She returned her gaze back to Swanfrost. "I-I'm sorry. This was really stupid of me.... I guess.... Um.... Just, uh... Do what you want to. If you never talk to me again outside of when we absolutely need to, that's fine. If you... For some reason... Still want to stick around, that'd be okay too... But I guess what I'm saying is that it should be your choice and..."
She sighed. "... Maybe you should never see me again. I'm not sure I'm going to stick around for long."

-my muse is so dead-
Swanfrost blinked at her ramblings, weighing her options for a moment. Did she want to stick around? It was Swanfrost who had initially left her, so why would she come crawling back to her now? Was it worth it? "I guess I just don't really know..." She gave a rather petty shrug.
Swanfrost tilted her head in confusion. "What do you mean?" She questioned, looking over her shoulder. Brightwing must have been looking at the border. Swanfrost herself had been having these thoughts, although she didn't think she could really go through with them.

Brightwing took a deep, slightly shaky breath. ".... It's nothing. You don't need to worry about it. I make things too complicated anyway..." She murmured, looking away. She swallowed. Should she say anything else? She wasn't sure if and what she should say...

Swanfrost inhaled deeply, closing her eyes for a moment. "If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here, okay?" She forced herself to make eye contact. It wasn't everyday that she was nice, although Brightwing didn't deserve anything less.
-Sure-

Brightwing seemed a bit shocked by the... Offer, she supposed. "T-Thanks..." She wasn't sure how to respond. She awkwardly nodded her head before moving to leave. She cast one quick glance back to Swanfrost, as if to make sure the devon rex wasn't about to reveal it was a lie. Then, she'd left... Apparently recovered from this admittedly strange encounter.
((End. If you wanna post one more time, that's cool with me.
