L oki was surprised to see her cross the line of comfort, and venture into the unknown, but it didn't show on his face. He simply nodded. If she didn't like the way life was, she could always return here in the morning. This wasn't he first time he had led a clan cat out of their territory, and he wondered if it would be the last. His mind wandered to Squirrelbite, and a knife went through his heart. His gaze darkened, and he made his heart freeze over. He glanced quickly back to Brightwing to see if she was following as he padded into tall, gently swaying, golden grass. Only his head, shoulders and tail stuck out.

Brightwing had noticed the darkening of Loki's gaze. Nevertheless, she followed the darker furred tom through the grass. This was unknown terrain, but she wasn't afraid. She didn't feel like she had much to be afraid of, especially considering that she didn't fear death. It was more than the Cloudclan religion. She truly did not care whether she died or not.
And so, she followed. She began thinking of... If she was going to tell anyone she was going to leave. Maybe it would be better for her to simply leave. Many cats disappeared from the clans mysteriously. What was one more warrior gone missing...?

L oki turned back again to see her padding along with him. She seemed to be thinking. Loki turned his head back and parted through the grass like a boat would through water, but it ended shortly, running into a new scraggly trees and rolling hills beyond. He wished there were more trees, but then again, there was always Treeclan. "This is the plains," Loki introduced, pointing with his nose to the landscape. He would show the canyon next, which was his favourite place, even though his brother lived there. He turned, swishing his tail along with his body. He suddenly felt like a mentor showing their apprentice the territories.

Brightwing saw that Loki looked back to look at her. He quickly returned his attention back to the path in front of her. As they walked, the prairie gave way to grassy hills with the occasional tree. She was unused to trees, so she didn't find the lack of trees a problem. Though... She had always been curious about what it was like to climb them, like Treeclanners did.
She blinked, observing the scene before her. ".... It's nice." She commented softly. She more or less had her mind made up at this point. She... She wasn't happy in Fireclan. She wanted to leave. Spending time in these rolling plains... She didn't think she'd find many problems with that kind of life.

L oki smiled and gave a sly laugh. "Wait until you see this." He broke out into a long sprint, speeding across the plains. He knew that Brightwing could keep up, since all Fireclan cats could run. Though, he made sure his pace was slightly slower, just in case she was one of those cats that didn't like running. The canyon opened wide beneath Loki's feet, but he simply jumped off. He landed on a ledge not too much lower and looked to see if 'goldy' would do the same.

Brightwing was interested to see what Loki wanted to show her next. Then he broke into a run. She wore a ghost of a smile, before breaking into a run herself. She was actually a cut above the rest of her clan, being fast even by their standards. She easily caught up with Loki and frowned at him. "Is this as fast as you can go? I can do better." She said. She leaped after Loki, and landed on the ledge as well. Apparently she was not bothered by the idea of jumping off a canyon edge. She stared at the canyon below. Her eyes widened. "Wow. This is.... Very not flat..."

L oki shook his head. "No, its not flat at all." A smile appeared on his face, the same mischievous smile he always wore. He leaped down, ledge by ledge, until there were no more ledges left. After this, he leaped off his ledge and skidded down a pile of rocks, then leaped again, falling a short distance, before landing on the canyon ground. It was a far ways up, but he never had trouble getting out of the rock.

Brightwing followed Loki down the ledges without a word, not quite managing the grace the slender tom had, however she came close for an amateur. She was used to open, flat grasslands. She wasn't used to the vertical movement.
She hit the ground not long after him. She looked around at their surroundings. ".... It's kind of weird, everything is so... Vertical."

L oki couldn't help but give an amused smile. "It is different," he responded, looking around. "I like it better than the plains, though." He enjoyed the caves most of all, with their complex systems he'd completely memorized. He gestured to one. "I can show you around, if you want."

Brightwing looked around. Then she blinked, and turned to Loki. ".... Oh! Yeah. That sounds great, thanks." She was eager to see around. Then with a faint smile, she looked away and murmured. ".... I do too."

L oki nodded and led the way into the darkness, making sure his usually quiet steps were a but louder, so that she could follow easily. He glanced up and spotted a few holes in the ceiling, but no stars were seen tonight. There was a cloudly overhang, and he had to navigate the dark. His black pelt blended in perfectly with the surroundings, so he kept his tail annoyingly close to Brightwing's whiskers. With a mischievous smile, he hit her with it once, before jumping out of the way in case she wanted to get him back. "There should be some glow worms coming up."

Brightwing pursued Loki, fearlessly into the strange opening. She was unused to being entrapped like this... Though, she found she didn't mind all too much. She could clearly smell Loki, though he was being rather noisy for some reason. His actual intentions soared over the tabby's head.
She huffed, as she was suddenly hit in the face with his tail. Then he suddenly mentioned something interesting. She blinked. "Glow worms?"

L oki smiled in his sly way as a faint blue glow lit up a small portion of his face. His pace quickened a bit, and they were now near a trot. He lifted his head to look up at the cave ceiling began to slope up. "I like to call them that," he said as they padded out into a large room. Worms were hanging from the ceiling in thousands, casting an eerie blue light to the floor below. In the corner, a small pond had formed and Loki padded over to it for a quick drink. In his light, he could easily be seen, and so his pawsteps returned to their nearly silent usual. It felt nice not having to thud around, much like his brother did. After a sip, he looked back over to Brightwing. "What do you think?" he asked, referring to the worms. They were close to the best part of this world to him. He loved their solitude, and their eerie beauty. They made no noise, and rarely moved. They were much like underground stars.

Brightwing wasn't sure what to expect, but the quiet glow that filled up the cave as she followed Loki further in, wasn't exactly that. She supposed glow worms was a bit self-explanatory but... It was another thing to see it. She didn't know that underground had any sort of luminescence. Her eyes widened as she stared up at the ceiling, the tiny figures blurring together together in the glow. She stopped in her tracks, stopping to stare up, actually completely missing the pond that Loki was drinking from.
"It's amazing." She breathed, in response to Loki's question.

L oki cast her an amused smile as she seemed completely absorbed in the small worms that dotted the hanging branches of the ceiling. He guessed that the branches were the ends of roots from a tree far overhead, a large tree at that. (( im not sure what to write )) Loki sat down and waited until she was done staring at the worms. When she lost interest, they would move on.
