'What's going on out there?'
One can't help but wonder what's going on around them when they're in that quiet, transitional state between sleep and wakefulness, and one little white kitten is no exception. With her eyes shut and her little buddy curled up, she looks like a mirror image of her mother and sister, all white furred and fluffy, though she doesn't appear to have picked up the spiky fur from her mother.
The nursery wasn't as crowded as it used to be, though of course the kitten didn't know this as she stretched her toes out before curling up closer to the warmth of her mother, not quite ready to get up yet despite the noise of the other kits playing and the light seeping through her eyelids. However, after a time, the kitten pops one sapphire orb open and peers around, merely to sate her curiosity. However, when a ball of moss goes flying past, brushing her pricked ear, the other eye opens to join the first and she springs out of the objects path with a squeal. It was good that she did, as the object is soon followed by another kitten hurtling past, much older than herself.
Shaking out her pelt, the now slightly more awake kitten stretches and walks over to a less crowded part of the nursery, sitting down near the wall to survey the hustle and bustle that is to be her daily life for the next several moons. Not overly fussed, but a little miffed she got woken up so suddenly, the youngster takes to grooming her pelt, which had puffed ever so slightly in the midst of her surprise. At least it made her look a bit bigger, though she still looked far too young compared to so many of the other kits. She can't wait till another Litter comes along so she won't be the youngest anymore, though it's not as terrible as it seems. Everything is so new, and therefore exciting.
