[Hollylight]

hollykit grinned, swishing his dark brown tail as he walked in circles in the nursery, thinking about life. he had been trying to forget her dreams last night by deciding on a new activity to do today. apparently, that activity was going to be... introducing himself to as many cats as possible.

taking in a deep breath and puffing out his cream-coloured chest, the young tom-kit strode over to his nearest den mate and introduced himself with a furrowed brow, "hey, pal," he began to smirk, "i'm hollykit."

[Sunkit]

The day had just started for Sunkit, who until moments ago had been sleeping peacefully. He opened his eyes slowly, wondering what had woken him up; he didn't feel his siblings or his mother in the nest with him, so it couldn't have been any of them. When his eyes had opened fully, he found he was staring at another kit, pacing about in circles just in front of him. He blinked a few times, trying to shed the grogginess that still clung to him, and then stood and stretched. The bright orange tom-kit wasn't sure if the other cat had been the one responsible for waking him up, but he supposed it didn't much matter now; he was up, and while that was the case, he figured it was a good idea to get a bite to eat. He was brought up short as the kit he'd seen pacing suddenly appeared in front of him. Hey, pal. I'm Hollykit. Sunkit blinked once, then twice; the abrupt introduction had caught him by surprise, and it showed in his clear amber eyes. "Ah," was all he said at first, before his thoughts had caught up fully to the situation; once they had, he added, "Um, nice to meet you. I'm Sunkit."

hollykit smirked wider and nodded, flopping down next to sunkit, "it's nice to meet you, sunkit," he purred, shuffling maybe a little too close to the younger cat and yawning obnoxiously loud.

This new cat was... odd. He was certainly far more open than most other cats; he clearly had no problem simply going up to a cat he didn't know and starting a conversation, and he was also standing incredibly close to Sunkit. The little orange tom found he was a bit confused by Hollykit's behavior in general, but it was an endearing form of confusion; it made Sunkit want to get to know this tom. "Life is good," he replied after a moment, deciding to return the other tom's smirk with a small smile of his own. Sunkit took a moment to study Hollykit; the other tom-kit was clearly older than him, and he probably would have confused him for an apprentice if he hadn't been hanging out in the nursery. "How's life for you?" he added a few heartbeats later, curious what life would be like when he neared apprenticeship.

hollykit smiled at sunkit's response, stretching out his legs and blinking his wide eyes, "that's always good to know," he purred, giving his chest a lick, "my days been going fine," he replied, resting his head on his paws.

Sunkit's small smile grew a bit at Hollykit's reply. "That's good to hear," he replied. He pulled his attention away from the tom for a moment, letting his gaze wander about his home before coming to a stop at the nursery's exit, where bright sunlight and fresh air were allowed to enter the den. The signs of a pleasant day brightened Sunkit's mood further, and this was clear when his attention came back to Hollykit. He stood and stretched again, the last of his grogginess from last night leaving him as he did so, before turning to face the other tom, a bit more alert and with his grin still in place. "I'm starving," he said, waving his tail in the general direction of the nursery's entrance. "Wanna go get something to eat?"

hollykit nodded, also turning his attention to the sunlit camp, beginning to lift himself and stretch into a standing position. he tucked his paws closer together than he normally would for a while, yawning again as he began to step towards the nursery exit, waiting for sunkit to come with.
