Although it had been a while since the moon had switched places with the sun, Lionkit had yet to fall asleep. On the contrary, he was wide awake; he wasn't even in his nest. Instead, he sat just inside the nursery's exit, looking up at a cloudless black sky speckled liberally with stars, wondering if the spirits of his ancestors were looking back down at him. The little tom knew that he'd be exhausted the next day if he didn't go to bed soon, but he also didn't really care; the sky was beautiful tonight, and he hadn't been very tired to begin with. There was a faint noise from somewhere close behind him, and he turned his head curiously, wondering who else might be awake right now. "Couldn't sleep either?" he called into the darkness, his voice barely more than a whisper; he couldn't see much of whoever was behind him, but their eyes stood out sharply enough that he knew roughly where he should be directing his question.

Linnetkit had been awake for a while at the point that her brother noticed her. She had tried to sleep for quite a while and then gave up, her eyes directing to the one other cat who was awake. She watched the other kitten she had seen with her mother for a little longer yet before she acctually got up, making her way to the other cat. She noticed that the sky was really pretty, but made no note of it as it was ussually pretty at night. "It seems that sleep likes to elude me." she responded with a shrug as she made it within a distance from which she could see the other cat.
