SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki stopped and turned back when his brother had mentioned that he found something. When Loki looked up to the space Thor was staring at, he knew instantly that that must be it. Loki was half surprised they had found it so quickly, but then again, they hadn't found it that quickly. Loki had been making assumptions for a long while on where the rift would be, and everything pointed back to these mountains. Apparently, his estimates had been correct.
"I'm half surprised you looked up," Loki said, nearly teasing. Thor wasn't the kind of cat that would take the time to look up. With a half smile, Loki hit his brother with his tail and began to climb the mountain at an extremely slow pace. The rocks were already slick, and the rain was no help. The way up was steep, and there weren't many rocks to step on. Either way, Loki went onward, not caring how pathetic he looked.

Thor followed up after Loki, watching out for any spots that would give way and let him fall. On the way up, Thor's heart was beating faster and faster. If this portal really worked, they could go home, and the first thing he'd do was see his friends. Maybe go hunting with Volstagg. They both could eat a lot, but Thor couldn't eat nearly as much as him.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY The climb was difficult, but the two warriors could accomplish anything that stood in their way. As Loki reached the small opening, he could feel the odd air around him. He glanced down, before pulling himself up. "Thor, this is it."

"What now? Just, jump through?" The warrior inspected the portal.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki smiled mischievously. "If you wish," he said, before ramming into his brother playfully. They stumbled toward the portal, before falling through....

[[wow could this post get any worse? sorry, I was rushing.]] "We-" he was cut off when Loki rammed into him, knocking them both into the portal. For a second, Thor couldn't tell if it worked, or if they were falling in Midgard and going to be pierced by a sharp rock. But soon everything turned black, and then there was a blinding light.
Asgard.
It was here, they were here. After moons of being gone, he was blessed to see the light of home another day.
He also forgot he was falling from the sky, and wasn't prepared for the fall. He groaned when he touched the ground, he'd made a hole about a few feet deep. Climbing out, Thor looked for his brother; spotting him a few tail-lengths away recovering from the fall as well. And though they just fell from the sky, Loki looked wonderful. "Asgard is a good look, for you brother." Thor laughed, looking around.
A weird pang coursed through him, and he stared back at Loki with a worried look. Thor looked to the skies and though it wasn't a good move; he tried to summon lightning.
It didn't work.
"Why that..." He went off angrily. The power stealer had gotten ahold of his powers. They were playing with his powers. It wouldn't end well for that cat, Thor had a special attachment to his powers.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki groaned a bit as he lifted himself onto his paws, which not much than a few stratches and scrapes. He smiled, his old self was back. He once had extreme body density, making it hard for him to get hurt, and being in the Asgardian air had made it return.
When his brother commented, he glanced over with yet another mischievous smile. They had made it, they were home, but something felt utterly wrong. He noticed it when he'd hit the ground, but when Thor tried using his powers and it didn't work, Loki saw the issue. He padded a bit closer to his brother, looking out to see the rainbow bridge a little ways away.
"Did you really think consorting with that pathetic excuse for a cat would be a good idea?" Loki asked, turning his gaze on Thor. "She steals powers, and she doesn't like giving them back. She hasn't had any need to, until we rose from the dead. They undoubtedly think we're dead, being gone for nearly six years now." Loki ripped his gaze away again, thinking of the hideous cat making illusions wherever she went. "I'm surprised Asgard hasn't burned down yet, with her in possession of both of our powers."

Thor sighed, closing his eyes and breathing deeply to calm himself. "She'll never listen to just us two, maybe if there were others she knew and we knew still living in Asgard..." The warrior trailed off, then smiled widely. "My friends! Our friends!" If they could find them, maybe the Warriors Three could try and convince her if they couldn't. "We need to find them, where are they?" Thor very well knew Loki didn't know the answer to that question, and they shouldn't just be showing their faces in public. If only he had his illusion power, but that stupid she-cat stole them.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki smiled. "We need to find them, find her, get them back then I can hide us. But we have to do that without being seen." Loki once again looked at the Palace a little ways away. "I hope you like swimming."
