Juniperpaw stumbled out of the apprentice's den. It was early in the morning; she had gotten up as soon as she could, just like usual. Juniperpaw wore a neutral expression as she made her way over to the fresh-kill pile, picking up a juicy-looking thrush. The brown tabby hesitated at first, feeling guilty that she was an apprentice and she hadn't caught any prey for the clan that day. In fact, she had never caught prey for the clan. The thought made Juniperpaw pull back for a moment and stare at the thrush longingly. I have to eat, though. Juniperpaw decided, before snatching up the fat thrush. She hadn't even been taught how to hunt yet; in fact, Juniperpaw hadn't even officially met her mentor. Did that mean that she
Juniperpaw carried the thrush a few fox-lengths away, before settling down into the grass. She lowered her head and sunk her teeth into the bird. She chewed, relishing the meaty taste. So caught up in her meal, the she-cat didn't notice the cat behind her. NOTES ;NOTES GO HERE

Mistykit yawned as she padded out of the Nursery. Gazing around camp, Mistykit's gaze landed on a apprentice. Giving a little hop, Mistykit was about to rush up to the apprentice and say hello, when she noticed that the apprentice was heading to the fresh-kill pile. Deciding to be a little mischievous, the young kit began to creep up to the apprentice. When the apprentice settled down to eat her food, Mistykit howled on the top of her voice, "Attack!" And leaped, aiming to land straight on the apprentice's back.

"Ack!" Juniperpaw cried, flinching away as she felt a paw brush her long, soft fur. The kit did not land square on her back, but her chest, chin, and paws were resting on the brown and white she-cat. Juniperpaw mustered the best smile that she could manage, and gently pushed the kit off of her. The heterochromatic she-cat's fluffy tail swept behind her as she got up to face her attacker, forcing herself to chuckle softly, mostly because she didn't want to scare the kit into believing that she was angry at her. But even though she wore a smile, the she-cat's eyes betrayed weariness.
"Ah... hello." Juniperpaw's smile turned rather awkward. "Er... nice entrance, I suppose?" Juniperpaw then let out another, much more genuine laugh. "I'm Juniperpaw. You?" NOTES ;lol that's what my best friend does to me every day xD btw lmao Juniper has anxiety, insomnia, and slight depression so don't judge if she's a tad anti-social xD

Looking playfully at the brown and white apprentice, Mistykit flicked her black tail. "I'm Mistykit! Nice to meet you!" She greeted. Hopping back to her paws, she excitedly asked, "Do you want to play a game?"

"Ah, nice to meet you as well, Mistykit." Juniperpaw meowed, dipping her head. Juniperpaw's ears pricked at Mistykit's next comment. "A... game?" Juniperpaw echoed listlessly, her eyes clouding over for a short moment. It had been so long since she had played a game. Even as a kit, she never had found anyone other than her siblings to play with. She debated in her mind whether or not to agree to the she-kit's offer. Juniperpaw often found that she couldn't sleep at night due to recurring nightmares, and thus was almost always exhausted. Yet, as she returned her attention to her field of vision, Juniperpaw couldn't help but notice the eager look in Mistykit's eyes. Letting a small smile reach her muzzle, the she-cat nodded. "Of course. What games do you like?"

"Well, um, I like moss-ball and hide and seek." Mistykit mewed,"Which one would you like to play?" As she waited for Juniperpaw to answer, Mistykit looked around for any moss or for a good hiding spot.

"Hmm..." Juniperpaw murmured, tilting her head as if she was actually thinking. In reality, she had already chosen, but why not give the kit a bit of a [boring] show? "Well, let's go with... uh, hide and seek." She finally decided, leveling her gaze with Mistykit's. "Do you want to be hider or seeker?" NOTES ;NOTES GO HERE

"I'll be the hinder!" Squeaked Mistykit, still looking for a good binding spot. When she found one, she turned back to Juniperpaw, "Tell me when your ready."

"I'm ready when you are." Juniperpaw meowed. She squeezed her eyes shut, ready to count when Mistykit gave her word. NOTES ;NOTES GO HERE

"Go!" Mistykit squeaked, as she scrambled away. She had been looking toward a big patch of ferns off to the side of camp. Diving into the ferns, Mistykit stayed as still as possible and waited for Juniperpaw to stop counting.

Juniperpaw nodded, hearing Mistykit's small squeak.
"One, two three..." Juniperpaw continued to count under her breath, ears swiveling much like she had seen the other apprentices do to track mice through the thick brush of TreeClan's territory. Juniperpaw's ears picked up the sound of shrubbery rustling aas Mistykit, but it was also confused with the muted thump of prey as a cat carelessly deposited it on the fresh-kill pile, the joyful squeaks of a few other kits tussling in the long grass beside the nursery, the low voices of a few warriors conversing from just inside of the warrior's den...
"Ten!" Juniperpaw finally finished, her eyes bursting open. She whipped her head around, looking for any signs of Mistykit's seal-point coat. NOTES ;NOTES GO HERE

Mistykit's heart soared as Juniperpaw yelled ten. Holding her breath, Mistykit waited for Juniperpaw to make her move.

Juniperpaw carefully examined the camp. She decided that she should scout the edge of the camp, because the middle of it was very clear, meant for cats to converse and share tongues with each other after a long day of work.
With that, Juniperpaw picked a random direction and started to walk. She made it to the edge of camp, around ten or so badger-lengths away from Mistykit. Juniperpaw stretched out her neck, a random habit she had for when tasting the air for any scent. She parted her jaw slightly to let in even more scent. NOTES ;NOTES GO HERE

Carefully watching Juniperpaw, Mistykit was quite nervous. Making sure to not move one bit, Mistykit breathed as softly as she could.

Juniperpaw carefully picked her way across camp, sniffing bushes and examining the ground. She had decided that she would just scale the edges of the camp; there weren't too many hiding spaces around here, anyway. She was approaching the thick clump of ferns. Juniperpaw set her paw down, peering through the green fronds. NOTES ;NOTES GO HERE
