LokiLyra was tucked in a perfect crouch, her eyes locked on that of a small rodent. Its small whiskers twitched in content, having no idea that its death was slowly creeping up on It. Lyra moved forward, her paws stretching out to take over long distances in the shortest amount of time possible. With a quick lunge her paw slammed its body to the ground, although she was careful not to injure it, Lyra leaned down and snapped its neck in her jaws. It as a perfect kill. She scooped it up by the tail, letting its frail body bounce against her chest. She peered at the rundown building in front of her, which appeared to be a farm. It reminded her of her old home. They too had resided in a building, although it was much less cozy than this one. She felt nothing. Continuing to move in an orderly pace, one that saved energy yet got her places fast, she moved into the building, careful to listen for any creaking. It appeared she was alone, at least for now, though her guard was up.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki hadn't had anything to do all day, so he went to the one place he had never visited before, the farm. Its not that he didn't like it, it was just that he didn't like it. He preferred to stay away from it, but today was different.
As he stepped into the barn, his nose picked up the fresh scent of a cat, and his ears swiveled, finding the sound of breathing. Next, his eyes followed the sound, and landed on a gray she-cat, who was eating some prey.

Lyra's ears instinctively shot into the air at the soft sound of paw steps. They were faint and hardly noticeable, causing her distrust for the stranger to grow. Had he known she was here? Was it his intention for him to sneak up on her? No, that wouldn't made sense, they weren't light enough for that. Perhaps he just naturally took quiet steps. It didn't matter much to Lyra, either way she was up on her paws in a second, standing over her prey with a vicious snarl. Her eyes were blazing with hatred as she sized the tom up. He was bigger than her, which made sense considering their considerable age gap, although Lyra was still confident in her abilities to take him on if he chose to provoke a fight.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Loki resisted the urge to roll his eyes. This cat was much like quite a few he'd already met. "Does every cat in this world believe I'm going to steal their prey? I am quite capable of hunting myself, thank you." His look held no expression, and his eyes were nearly bored. The sass that his words held were simply because he didn't feel as if he was up to play with someone's mind.
