FawnskipSandkit woke with a yawn. Stretching her legs, Sandkit blinked her eyes open. Gazing around the Nursery, Sandkit wondered what to do. At two moons old, not a whole lot of cats paid attention to her. Spotting her mother, Fawnskip, Sandkit quietly padded toward her. Prodding her in the side, Sandkit slightly whispered, "Fawnskip? Are you awake?"

 Fawnskip Fawnskip wanted to sleep in, even if it was for a short while. It didn't last long as she felt something at her side, causing her eyes to open. With a few face-rubs with a paw, she stretched up and settled back down. "Sandkit?" she mewed softly, "I'm awake now, how was your sleep?"

"It was okay." Sandkit mewed, "Can you play with me?" Scrambling onto her mother's back, Sandkit looked around the Nursery. It was always so cooler when she was up higher.

"Could you give me a badger ride?" Sandkit asked, her deep blue eyes widening. Being on her mother already, it gave her the thought of the badger rides the other kits were sometimes talking about.

Fawnskip Fawnskip chuckled, then slowly got up to make sure she and Sandkit were in good balance. "Hold on tight, then." Fawnskip started moving slowly, then got into a well-paced trot.

"Whoa!" Squeaked Sandkit, as her mother began to move forward. Laughing, Sandkit shuffled her hind paws to get a better grip, but when Sandkit tried to set down her hind left paw, She realized that there was just air. "Help!" Sandkit wailed as she began to slippery off.

Fawnskip In order to try to help Sandkit better, she tried to slow down a bit, rather than stopping quickly and throwing her off the other way. "No worries, I got you," she mewed, attempting to slowly lower herself so that Sandkit could get back up if she wanted to.

Relief spread through Sandkit as her mother slowed down. Getting grip on her flailing leg, Sandkit scrambled back onto her mother's back. "Thanks, I'm better now!"
(Sandkit finally has her two brothers, Lionkit and Dustkit!)

Sandkit stood proudly on her mother's back, her deep blue eyes scanning the clearing. Spotting the Leader's Den, Sandkit asked Fawnskip, "Did you ever want to Leader?"

Fawnskip Fawnskip blinked, looking in the direction Sandkit was gazing. "Huh? Leader? I don't think I ever wanted to.. maybe as a kit, but I wasn't really into leading." The tabby purred, "I believe I fit right as a queen, since I'm lucky to be a mother to kits like you."

Sandkit smiled as her mother spoke to her. Purring, Sandkit mewed, "And I am lucky to have a mother like you!"
(So sorry this took a little while! I had to go onto a road trip with my grandparents!)
