The blue-eyed kit poked his head out from between his pale paws, squinting against the light that shone down in front of the nursery. The sunshine seemed to beat down on his average-sized body, bringing out his pale golden pelt. The kit's slightly rounded ears pinned back a little, and he sneezed. It was now that he decided perhaps he wasn't meant for the outside yet, and he quickly retreated back, lowered down close to the ground, his fluffy white belly brushing against the ground, into the cozy nursery. Now there was no sun to antagonize him. Fennelkit was still admittedly painfully curious, but he would have to investigate later.
He immediately focused on a leaf that had drifted in, swatting it eagerly and chewing on it, before it landed on his head and spooked him, which caused him to swiftly- which was surprising, given he was a little... rotund for a kit- back up, bumping into one of the nests and rolling backwards into it.
Fennelkit wasn't the gracefullest of kits.
He immediately lifted his head, worried someone had seen him.

(mind if I join?)
Breezekit was relaxing in the sun in the camp, content. Her long fur drifing in the light breeze. She had caught a glance of anther kit who had peeked out of the nursery before skittering back in, and this made her curious.
With a stretch, she got to her paws and yawned before trotting to the nursery entrance.
"Uh, hello?" She meowed, her voice as light as the breeze. She picked out the gold pelt of the other kit and smiled. "Not a fan of the outdoors?" She teased, tail flicking as she beckoned him back outside with her. She didn't plan on going into the nursery just yet.

( Not at all! :D )
Oh no, he'd been found. Fennelkit quickly rolled back out of the nest and approached Breezekit, ears back a little. "Uh, no- yes? Yes, I love the outdoors! I just, um." He glanced nervously outside, "I have.." Fennelkit was obviously really bad at lying. This she-kit wasn't one of his littermates, he guessed. She looked older and she came from outside. He could smell a few new scents on her, an earthy smell that didn't quite match the nursery's was faint on her.
Hoping if he changed the subject quickly enough she'd forget, he did just that. Ears perking forward, he began to say, "I'm Fennelkit! I like your eyes! I like the greeny col..." He looked at her tail and promptly trailed off.
It'd taken him long enough, but he realized she was beckoning him outside.
His tail lowered slightly, and hesitated before he trooped outside, immediately dropping his head down and squinting. "Gee, uh, the outside's sure.. pretty.. Today!"

Breezekit watched the smaller kit with lightly masked amusement, feeling flattered by his earlier comment about her eyes.
"It sure is a nice day, why don't you look at it properly?" She asked, ducking down at touching a paw to his nose so he met her eyes. "It won't take long for your eyes to adjust. Give it a sec." Breezekit flicked her ears and padded a little further out into the sunlight, feeling warmth seep into her long pelt. With bright eyes, she looked back at the other kitten.
"I'm Breezekit, by the way." She purred, smiling.

Fennelkit sat down next to where she stood, hunched over slightly. The light wasn't as bad anymore already, but he'd still rather stay inside the nursery. "Breezekit.. That's a neat name..!" he squeaked, his ears slowly perking back up. "I don't even know what fennel is, but I know what a breeze is.." Fennelkit raised his head and looked up at her, admiring her fur. He wished he had a pretty pattern like that.
He sat there quietly for a few moments, getting more and more used to the sun. "Oooh, are you old enough to eat prey? What's it like?"

Breezekit laughed at his compliment about her name. "Aw, thank you." She purred. As he commented about fennel and how he didn't know what it was.
"Fennel is a plant with feathery leaves that sometimes has little yellow flowers on it. I think medicine cats might even use it." Breezekit explained, smiling.
When Fennelkit asked if she could eat prey, she nodded. "Oh, yes. Here, wait a sec." She meowed, and she quickly got her paws and swiftly ran over to the prey pile. She grabbed up a little mouse from the bottom of the pile and trotted softly back to the other kit.
She dropped it between them and tipped her head at Fennelkit. "It tastes very good, better than milk if you ask me. Are you too young to eat it?" She asked, and she reached out to touch it with her slight paw.
She looked at Fennelkit and noticed something; they were nearly the same height, even though she was older than Fennelkit. She was just very small. It made her smile.

"Oh, so I'm a flower?" he asked, tilting his head. He didn't mind being a flower, actually. He'd seen some flowers before, though not many. They looked nice.
He curiously watched Breezekit as she ran off to get some prey, leaning forward with both ears perked towards the mouse when she returned with it. Fennelkit sniffed it eagerly, the scent making his mouth water a little. It smelled great. He vaguely heard the she-kit ask him a question, too young?
"Oh, I don't think so.. It couldn't hurt to just have a couple bites, right?"
Right after asking that, he bit into the mouse, before proceeding to eat the majority of it. 'A couple bites'.
He nudged what was left over to her in case she was hungry and sat up, grooming his paws and chest. "It was very good!" Fennelkit said between licks, "it does taste better than milk.. I think it has more flavor.. Thank you!" He curled his tail around his legs, staring at Breezekit. "Do you come outside a lot? You seem to know a whole bunch about it!"

(sorry for late reply C:)
"Yep, a flowery plant." Breezekit giggled, as she watched Fennelkit devour the mouse she had bought him. After he had apparently finished his share, he nosed it to Breezekit and proceeded to clean himself. Breezekit lowered her head and quickly and cleanly finished off the animal, licking her paws and drawing them over her muzzle when she finished.
When Fennelkit noted how it was good and does taste better than milk, Breezekit smiled, nodding. "Yeah, see." She chirped, and when he thanked her she dipped her head, sorta embarrassed. "It's no problem." She meowed, and then he wrapped his tail around his paws and turned his gaze to her.
He asked his question, and Breezekit nodded a little sheepishly. "Yeah, I do come out a lot. Mainly because I like fresh air and it is so pretty out here. I don't know that much, I just observe what is around me and go from there." She purred, tail flicking happily as she explained.
"What do you like to do?" She asked Fennelkit, curious of her new... friend, she guessed. If he wanted to be.

( It's all right :3c )
"Oh.. I mostly just stay inside and play. Usually with moss balls or feathers or leaves.. Momma seems busy with all the other kits, so I try to stay out of her way. But I don't mind! It's important to make friends!" Fennelkit didn't seem too sad about not knowing his mother well, if at all.
"Now that I've been outside for a while, I don't think it's too bad out here. Still kinda bright..." He took in a big breath. "And the scents and colors are real nice! I like green."
"Do you wanna be leader when you grow up?" It was a slightly odd question, but he was genuinely curious about it. He knew it was a big dream for almost every kit.

"Oh, sounds good. You are very considerate." Breezekit meowed, and Fennelkit spoke of how he thought the outside now that he'd been out for a while. He said he likes green, and Breezekit smiled. "Green is my favourite colour." She meowed with a small giggle.
"No, I do not wish to be leader. I think I'd just like to raise kits and be happy and have a family and yeah..." Breezekit trailed off, unsure how Fennelkit would react to this, her shooting down the average kit's dreams.
"What about you?" She asked, tipping her head to the side in question.

"Oh, like a queen? Well, that's different, but I like that! We don't need a bunch of leaders. And, um.. I want to hunt. I don't want to fight, I just want to do nothing but hunt, so the clan doesn't have to worry about food. And... I don't know." Fennelkit isn't sure about being a father, but he will when he gets older.
He awkwardly stared at a leaf in front of his paws, before asking if Breezekit knew what she wanted her warrior name to be.
Fennelkit also considered asking her to play a game with him, but he wasn't sure about that. Maybe she didn't like games too much. He wasn't good at them anyway.

"Oh, really, just hunting? Well, that's great! Personally, the idea of fighting and hurting and being hurt doesn't sound to appealing. And yeah," She laughed, "We wont go hungry with you around!" She smiled at Fennelkit.
When she was asked about her warrior name, Breezekit nodded, smiling. "I was thinking something like Breezewhisper or something." She hesitantly told him, feeling shy. 'What about you?"
Before waiting for his reply, Breezekit offered the idea of playing a game. "We could play tag, I mean, your fast right? I am, we could race or something..." She trailed off waiting to see what he would reply. Maybe Fennelkit didn't want to play with her. To be honest, she was feeling lazy and didn't mind what they did, as long as they didn't have to go back to their mothers and sleep or whatever.

"I'm glad you agree! Oh, Breezewhisper sounds really cool. I, uh.. I'm not sure.. There are lots of names out there. I think I'll let the leader pick." Fennelkit shrugged; he was a generally unsure cat anyways.
He felt a brief wave of relief when she asked to play.
"Ah, yeah, I think I'm fast! I usually run into stuff, though.. But tag sounds good, as long as it's not too fast. Or racing. But, maybe tag most?"

"Thank you." Breezekit purred, bashful, as Fennelkit said he liked her name she wanted. "I think any name you will get will be amazing." She meowed, nodding when he said he would just get the leader to choose.
"Okay, tag it is!" Breezekit meowed, and her paw shot out as she tapped his flank before jumping away, laughing. "You're IT!" She yowled.

"Oh! Oh, okay!" He yelped quickly when she made him it, scrambling after her, trying to catch her without tripping on a stick or stone or anything like that. He did catch somewhat up to her, but he was just far enough behind her that he couldn't tag her back.
It was then Fennelkit decided to try to cut her off, hanging somewhat behind when she would have to turn to stay in the middle of camp, darting to the side in an attempt to tag her.
