It was a pretty nice day, today, all things considered. Not as nice as Lionkit himself, of course, but it was a close contender. After licking his brilliantly golden fur down, Lionkit cast his amber gaze across the den with a playful glint in his eye. Looked over once, then twice.... and his smile switched into a frown at record speed. He waddled into the middle of the den, swishing his tail around in irritation. Seriously? Did his siblings decide now was a good time to play hide-and-seek? Or worse, to avoid him?

"Sandpaw , Dustpaw ! Where are you? It's time to play!" He yelled, choosing to ignore the dirty looks shot his way by the kits still trying to sleep. They just needed to deal. "C'mon, I don't have all day!" 

[Sandpaw]

Sandkit help but slightly smile when she heard Lionkit's call. She didn't know where Dustkit was though, but she was sure he would show up soon. Silently creeping into the Nursery, Sandkit easily spotted her brother, Lionkit. The three siblings usually stuck together, mainly during their first moon, but now, everyone seemed to be finding different things.

Making sure she was stepping very lightly, Sandkit made her way towards Lionkit. He was always the one to look after Dustkit and her, after all, he was the biggest. Getting into pouncing position, Sandkit held back a loud purr. Then, yowling on the top of her lungs, Sandkit leaped, aiming for Lionkit's back.

[Dustpaw]

Dustkit was watching his siblings through slitted eyes. He carefully waited as Sandkit raced and flew at Lionkit, and just as she did, Dustkit darted out from behind them. He sprang at them and managed to hit first Sandkit as she was still airborne, and then Lionkit.

"Gotcha." He meowed loftily as he clambered out of the pile of siblings. He liked to think of himself as able to do what he wanted not matter what it was, and that he was desirable and cool. He wasn't too shy, but also not to showy *coughlikeLionkitcough* (lol jk)

He flicked his tail and twitched his ears as he waited for someone to either get mad or get happy at him.

[Sandpaw]

Gasping as something flung into her, Sandkit crashed awkwardly into Lionkit. Shaking her head, Sandkit found herself in the middle of some sort of sibling pile. Feeling weight get off of her, Sandkit quickly scrambled off of Lionkit and turned to see who attacked them. Not surprised, Sandkit saw Dustkit. Deciding to play with him a little bit, Sandkit pretended that she was angry. "Why did you do that? I was so close to scaring Lionkit!"

At the mention of Lionkit, Sandkit turned to her brother and meowed, "I am sorry about landing on you."

[Dustpaw]

Dustkit hissed at Sandkit, suppressing his grin. Cool, a bit of fun, maybe a mock fight! He crouched into an attacking position, tail lashing, and eyes narrowing.

When Sandkit turned away and apologized to Lionkit, Dustkit waited until she was done - courteous - before he leapt up and barreled into his sister, growling but grinning at her. "Too bad, sis. Guess you'll have to try scare him next time."

Lionkit was tempted to throw a hissy-fit, when suddenly he heard a battle cry. Unfortunately, the tom didn't have time to move when felt a weight on his back and yowled out, whipping his head around to spot his attacker. "Agh! Sandkit, finally, you---" he started, voice cracking in surprise, when another kit bowled into the both of them and they tumbled into the dirt.

"Hey!" He scrambled around underneath Sandkit, wanting to see who the other kit was (even though deep down, though, he knew exactly who that was). Once he was upright, he pretended to give an offended frown at his siblings. "If I weren't looking for you two before, I'd almost be hurt by all this. This is no way to treat your dearest brother." He proclaimed, his frown quickly turning to a cocky grin "Heh, I'd like to see the both of you try. Nothing can scare me!" Definitely not a lie. Nope.

[Dustpaw]

Dustkit, paused in the scuffle between him and Sandkit, turning his eyes to Lionkit. After his brother had finished with his little speech - that of which had caused a massive eye roll from Dustkit - the brown and grey tom stared at Lionkit with a fictional eyebrow raised.

He and Sandkit would prove him wrong. With a long, measured look at Lionkit, silently shaking his head, he scrambled over to him and let out a growl. "Wanna fight?" He asked, abandoning his sister and grinning at Lionkit.

[Sandpaw]

Standing tall, Sandkit showed that she wasn't scared of fighting with Dustkit. But, she was surprised when he turned to face Lionkit. Sandkit slightly smirked when she heard her brother say that she and Dustkit couldn't scare him. Turning to face Lionkit, Sandkit purred, "But we just did. I heard you yell when we landed on you."

Lionkit flashed a toothy grin as his siblings focused on him. Dustkit gave an exasperated eye-roll before challenging him, and Lionkit swished his tail. He puffed out his chest. "That would be a great idea, brother."

He was about to pounce when he heard his sister speak up, and he snapped his eyes to her. "I was not scared! Just surprised, yeah?"

[Sandpaw]

Sandkit smiled as Lionkit denied that he was scared. Oh Lionkit... Always the one to defend his pride. Flicking her tail, Sandkit mewed, "Go ahead with your fight. This could be interesting..."

[Dustpaw]

Dustkit laughed at the exchange between Sandkit and Lionkit before - after Sandkit nodded her permission - turned back to Lionkit. He pressed himself in a crouch again before wriggling his hindquaters in anticipation.
"Come on, bro. Take me on." He goaded, grinning at Sandkit and mouthing 'thanks, I'll do you proud.'

Lionkit nodded at his sister, pleased that the conversation of scaring him ended there. Then, he turned around to face Dustkit with a cocky grin, assuming his previous battle position. He eyed up his brother for a second and meowed, "I'm so gonna kick your butt!"

Without any more hesitation, Lionkit leaped off the ground with his hind-legs, paws outstretched and aimed towards Dustkit with the intention of tackling him over.

[Dustpaw]

Dustkit shook his head in mock horror at the idea of Lionkit 'kicking his butt'.

As Lionkit flew at him, Dustkit reared up and drew his paws up, swiping at his brother. Lionkit crashed into him, tackling him over, but Dustkit rolled over and used his paws to heave the tom up and throw him off him, grinning wildly. He jumped to his paws and crouched to attack, lashing his tail.

He loved play-fighting, espesially with Lionkit because he was the only cat he knew of that could take him on and really had a chance of beating him.

Lionkit tried to turn his head away from Dustkit's swipe, whose paws ended up hitting his cheek quite hard. Once they both tumbled onto the ground, Lionkit tried to keep Dustkit under his body, but he was too slow, and he awkwardly rolled off of Dustkit with an "Oof!" He tried to trip his brother up with one of his front paws, but to no avail.

Lionkit quickly jumped back up, swiveling his head around so that Dustkit was still in hi sights. He swished his tail, and sneered, "Well? What are you waiting for?" He was tempted to try and leap again, cut off his brother before he had a chance to attack, but that was no fun! No fun at all if you never even got a chance to attack. Plus, he wanted to see if Dustkit had improved after their previous play-fighting session.

Dustkit was satisfied as Lionkit let out an oof as he crashed into him.

Dustkit bristled as Lionkit sneered at him, asking what he was waiting for, but he wasn't going to give in and fall for his brothers taunting. He drew his paws so it looked like he was going to leap at his shoulders, but as he pushed off, he dove for Lionkit's paws, aiming to swipe them out from under him.

What am I waiting for? I'm waiting for you to finally realise you aren't the center of the world and aren't the best at everything. Dustkit muttered to himself, waiting for Lionkit's next move.
