Lostkit walking into the dark nursery, taking a quick second to get use to the darker area. Today was her first day to go outside and explore her new home. The young white kit didn't fully understand why kits couldn't go outside the camp walls, but she didn't question it.
She was hoping to see Fennelkit the golden tom-kit she had met yesterday. He seemed really nice, she prayed that everyone else would be like that. So far she's liked it here even with some of the strange glances from older cats. No one has confronted her about smelling different or not belonging.
As the fluffy white, green and blue eyed kit was deep in her own little mind, she didn't see the kit that was in front of her. She walked right into him making a weird sound. "I am so sorry, I didn't see you there." she said very fast. Lostkit looked up at the golden tabby tom-kit.

Lionkit had busied himself to the task of grooming; he enjoyed play-fighting with his siblings a lot, but it sure took a toll on his glorious looks. His fur stuck up in different directions, matted with dirt from the ground. He narrowed his eyes in annoyance. Ah, the prices he had to pay, just to have a bit of fun.
Lionkit was almost jolted out of his thoughts when something walked right into him, drawing out a loud yelp and making him turn around as fast as he could. He was prepared to rip into his siblings (verbally) when the kit's voice and appearance caught him off guard. Wow, she had unusual eyes, but anyway--"Why hello there! No need to apologize, I just haven't finished cleaning myself yet. My golden coat is usually very eye catching."

Lostkit's different colored eyes widen slightly in fear when the long furred tom-kit turned around. He didn't look too happy, she did say sorry, right? The white kitten watched his face now seeming to be caught off guard. Lostkit opened and closed her mouth for a bit a little shocked at his friendliness.
"Umm hi. she said softly with a small nod. "I'm sure it is. I have a hard time keeping myself groomed and your fur is a lot longer then mine." she told him. Her fur was long but it wasn't very thick unlike the golden kit in front of her. [b}"I'm Lostkit by the way. What's your name?[/b] she asked him.

Lionkit cocked a figurative eyebrow as the kit in front of him seemed to fumble for words. Was she scared or something? Not that he could blame her; it can be hard to know what to say to a magnificent kit such as himself. Obviously that's why she was here, right? Lionkit flashed a grin when she finally found her voice, his golden eyes scanning both their fur-lengths. "Huh, you're right," He said, before he shrugged. "I got the hang of it pretty easy after a few play-fights with my siblings that left me all dirty. I guess you could call it a talent."
Lionkit was ready to continue his bragging when Lostkit introduced himself, causing his mouth to shut for a moment. Oh no, he hadn't even given his own name! He puffed himself out. "Oh, my name's Lionkit! Never seen a lion before but they're supposed to be awesome, like me." He stopped, as if he was giving time for Lostkit to take this very important information in, before asking, "What about your name? Were you literally a lost kit or something?"

Lostkit gave a small smile wishing she had siblings she could play with. Her only friend in this clan so far is Fennelkit, and he has only taught her one game. "I mean everyone cleans themselves so it's really not a talent." she told him tilting her head the side. The white kitten watched as he puffed himself out.
"Well..." Lostkit started but was soon interrupted by the older kit. "I guess I was lost in a way." she told him her head down and her different colored eyes on were focused on her white fluffy paws. "You see I'm not from Fireclan or any clan that I know of. They found me along their territory. I don't remember my past though." she explained slowly lifting her gaze up to meet Lionkit's.

Lionkit pouted at the she-cat's comment, saying, "Well, I mean, yeah it's not really a talent, but I'm still pretty good at it." He said nothing for a second, then shrugged. "Hopefully I get better at things like fighting and hunting when I get older."
He nodded at Lostkit's answer, surprisingly silent. His mouth opened and closed a few times, ready to ask a question but no words ended up coming out. It was only when she'd finished that he finally found something to say. "Wow. That... makes sense, I guess. Are you ever gonna look for your family? Heck, I can help if you want!"

Family... She never thought about that really, does she have family? "Umm I mean I guess I would later on in life." she paused thinking about it a little more. "I wouldn't even know what I would be looking for." she frowned. She had no clue what anyone would look like, sound like, or even a name. She didn't remember her name how would she know her family's. Lostkit frowned slightly and lowered her head. "If you want to help that'll be up to you I know that it will be a challenge." she told him.

He darted his eyes between Lostkit, the ground and the moss-beds he usually shared with his siblings. "Well, duh! That's your family, of course you'd look for them! I can't even imagine what it'd be like if I didn't..." Lionkit said, voice trailing off as Lostkit explained how she wouldn't know how to find them anyway. He hummed out loud. "Surely one of your siblings must look like you... you might have the same eyes! Same fur color! Maybe you'll have the same, uh, smell? Yeah."
He flashed a cocky grin at Lostkit's comment. "Oh please, I love challenges! Plus, I dunno, maybe your family are part of a super cool prophecy and we have to rescue them. Maybe we have to fight big animals or something!"

Lostkit was now feeling bad because she never really thought about it. What if they were looking for her right now? "It doesn't really feel much different not having any, I think. Then again if you were separated from your family now you'd know who you were looking for, so you'd probably miss them more then I do." she told him. "Hopefully not though. Maybe it would be easy, with no fights." she said hopefully.

When Lostkit explained how distanced she felt from the concept of a family, Lionkit's tail drooped. He vividly tried to imagine life in Fireclan without his siblings, scrunching up his face and... nope, he couldn't do it. Lionkit nodded at her words, replying with a, "Yeah. I get annoyed by them a lot, and they probably get annoyed by me, but if they went missing, I would look everywhere in the forest until I found them."
He titled his head, stuck between disappointed and understanding Lostkit's viewpoint. On one hand, Lionkit loved fighting, but... this wasn't exactly focused on him, was it? He perked his ears as he thought of an idea. "Hey, we could do a play-fight if you want! I'm not saying that you'll have to fight, but just in case you do, it could give you an idea of what to expect!" Realistically, an actual battle would be a lot more difficult, but he had to do something.

She nodded her head, she guessed he was right about family. Now that she thought about it when she was watching the other kits in the clan they all fought with each other but would still do anything for the other.
Lostkit's eyes widen at the tom kit. "Umm I-I don't know how." she stuttered. How do you 'play' fight? She knew what fighting was but she never thought she would have to actually fight. "But I can try to." she said a little unsure.

"Wait, you don't?" He asked in surprise, before remembering that she obviously didn't have anyone to practice with. You can't exactly play-fight by yourself. He shook his head. When Lostkit said that she was willing to try, he nodded with a small smile. "Okay, that's fine, I can teach you to be as good as it as me! Uh..." He titled his head in thought. What did he usually do?
"It's kinda hard to explain with words. You just, y'know, jump on each other, chase each other, and fight until one of you is tired out!" He lowered into a crouching position, tail straight up and hind-legs ready to pounce. "Try copy this. Once you can do this, then you can pounce on the other kit."

"Well my friend Fennelkit told me about it but he's not a fan of fighting, and something inside of tells me it's bad too." she said, she nodded her white head as he said he would teach her. Lostkit studied his position and tried to copy it. "Like this?" she asked.

Lionkit murmured a small 'oh' to himself, remembering his own encounter with Fennelkit. That kit was just too nice for his own good! He tried to give Lostkit an encouraging smile, saying, "Well, play-fighting isn't that bad. I dunno about actual fighting, but with play-fights, you don't need to seriously hurt the other cat."
He watched Lostkit get into position, and nodded his head with a grin. "Yup! Once you do that, you can jump on other cats like this." He leaped off the ground with his hind-legs, paws outstretched, and he landed next to Lostkit. He padded in front of Lostkit, leaving a few mouse-lengths between them so she had room to jump. "Now, try jumping on me!"

Lostkit nodded slowly like she understood what the tom kit was saying. She guessed it couldn't be to bad then. She smiled brightly when he told her the crouch was correct, now he wanted her to jump on him. She could do that, it didn't sound hard to do "Okay, ready?" she asked her eyes staring at the long furred kit. She pushed of her legs and jumped towards Lionkit hoping to land on him.
