Loudkit was gravely lonely these last few days, now that Darkpaw had left the nursery. The white and ginger tom was afraid to talk to others in fear of being judged for his horrible way of speaking. The tom-kit sighed as he stared at his paws, and started crying out of frustration.
A couple minutes passed, and the kit stopped crying and just merely sat. He took deep breathes and noticed another cat nearby. Maybe he should actually try to talk. Loudkit stood up and walked towards the other cat. He bowed his head and tried to show a smile. "Greetings. Sorry for bothering you, but may I ask how you are doing..?"

Silverkit had been watching a cat that had been crying. When he apporached and asked how she was doing, she gave a warm, caring smile to the stranger. "Hello. I am doing well. Might I ask though, how are you doing?" she asked. If he said he was fine, she would accept that and move on. She knew some cats would rather not talk about their issues.

Loudkit's smile seemed to grow more genuine, and he nodded. "I'm doing good, I'm just kinda a sitting duck waiting for my apprentice ceremony now." Did she see him crying, oh great Cloudclan was she judging him? He shook off the thought, and swayed his tail.
"Um... I'm Loudkit, by the way..." He awkwardly glanced to the side, "You like rain?"

Silverkit nodded. "I think every kit is meant to feel that at some point," she agreed, "We have to live 6 full moons as kits. After two I'm already getting bored." she chuckled.
"I'm Silverkit." she responded, "It's nice to meet you Loudkit." She added. "Yes, I suppose. I like the sound rain makes."

Loudkit chuckled, lowering his ears. "Y-Yeah... I still have to wait another moon before I can join my friend Darkpaw in training." He huffed, somewhat scared of what will happen then. There were so many ways he could get killed as an apprentice, just one stupid move and he could be done for.
Maybe he should be thankful for the moons of almost guaranteed safety. "Silverkit, it suits you. It's nice to meet you too. I personally like the rain, the visuals of it look really nice. But at the same time I'm always scared a freak storm will hit everytime it rains." He chuckled lightly.

"Why thank you," she responded, "I suppose the rain is a nice thing to look at too. I don't like it when my fur gets soaked though, because it takes forever to dry. It's to long and thick for that. And yes, freak storms will always be a problem."

Loudkit looked at his fur and sighed. "Yeah, especially if you have a long pelt. Long pelts take forever to groom and stuff." He complained, his fur standing on end. It made him look slightly like a bush. He decided to continue the conversation.
"So, who's your mother? Any siblings?"

Silverkit giggled and nodded. " My mother is Minnowfin. I only have one sibling currently, and older sister named Blazekit. Have you met her?" she asked, tilting her head. "She's a good cat... but a tad bit overenergetic in my opinion."

Loudkit smiled. "Cool, my mother is Peachglow. But no, I haven't met your sister. I'm not all for the too energetic types, if I may be perfectly honest." He confessed, glancing off to the side. It's not like he had anything against those types of cats, he just didn't have much energy to keep up with them. Plus, they tended to be loud. Loudkit hated loud noises.

Silverkit gave him a pointed look. "Your name is Loudkit. Trust me, if that were my name I think I'd understand even more than I already do." she said, stumbling over the words slightly as she tried to phrase what she was saying properly. "If that makes any sense at all." she added.

Loudkit glanced to the side awkwardly. Why didn't he understand? He replayed the sentence in his head, trying to understand it. Anyhow, he should probably answer. "It makes sense, I guess..? Loudkit is an ironic name for me, to be honest. I don't know what Peachglow was thinking." He sighed, looking back at the silver she-cat.

Silverkit sighed and tried to rephrase what she had said. "When a cat is named Quietkit, all the quiet cats assume they're one of them and everyone leaves them alone. It's the same for when a cat is named Loudkit, except all the loud cats seem to gather together rather than spread appart. Now, I'm not sure it'd happen to you, but if that happened to me, if all the loud cats gathered around me, I would dislike the loud energetic cats even more. Except for Blazekit. She's my sister so I make an exception. Does that make a bit more sense?"

Loudkit nodded, thinking it over. "Okay, I get it more." He answered, flicking his bobbed tail. Hopefully that wouldn't happen too often. He couldn't stand loud noises. He tried to think of something to say, but ended up sitting in silence for about a minute.
"So... Do you want to play I Spy?"

Silverkit also didn't know quite what to say, she would honestly rather not talk to anyone than have a full length conversation holding nothing but small talk. When Loudkit offered the game, she nodded. "Sure. You go first."

Loudkit nodded, and started to look around. What could he use? His eyes set on the prey pile, a grey mouse catching his eye. He looked around, looking for other items. He finally flicked his ears and said while looking at the sky. "I spy, with my little eye, something grey."
