Burr's beginning....

Shrieking, the gray she-cat jerked and twisted as the pain increased. It seemed to stretch from her tail tip all the way to the ends of her claws. 
"Come on, Ash, you can do this." The gray she-cat felt a comforting lick touch her shoulder. Ash could just barely see the blurry vision of Blizzard, her mate. Jerking again, Ash heard Blizzard purr loudly. "We have a small she-cat!"  Soon, Ash could feel a small wet bundle gently pushed against her mussel. Looking down, the pain seemed to disappear. A tiny white she-cat.
Purring, Ash mewed, "She looks so much like the both of us! She has your fur color, but with my fur length!"
"I wonder what her eye color will be." Purred Blizzard, gently laying his tail onto their tiny daughter. Picking her up, Blizzard set the she-cat down right in front of him and began to clean her fur. 
Then, came the pain again. Wailing, Ash set her head back down again, hoping the pain would end soon. Hearing Blizzard gasp, Ash guessed that their was another kit!
"He looks just like the first one! Except he is A LOT bigger. Ash saw Blizzard take another bundle of fur towards the first one he was cleaning. It was true, the tom was a lot bigger! 
After that, the pain seem to increase even more, but this time, the time seemed to be going a lot faster. 
After a little while, Ash purred loudly as she saw four new kits nestled at her belly. Two short haired white ones, one long furred gray one like her, but then... There was one long furred BLACK one. 
"What should we name them?" Blizzard asked, his head white close to the new kittens. "Should we this one Ice?" He asked, pointing to the big white one. 
"That sounds perfect!" Ash meowed, then moving her gaze to the tiny white kitten, "Let's name this one Petal!" 
"And how about this one?" Blizzard asked, nudging the gray one. "He has your fur color, but then my fur length. How about Shadow?" 
"That sounds great!" Ash purred, but then slightly frowned, looking at the long furred black one. "This one looks barely anything like us, though."
"Maybe her eyes will be the same as one of ours." Blizzard meowed hopefully, his amber eyes shining. 
"But what should we name her?"
"What ever you want! It is your turn anyway." 
Ash gave a long thought, studying their black furred daughter.  She had black fur, she was a good size, but then... Ash noticed their daughters tail. It was spiky! Unlike her other siblings. "Hmmmm, how about.... Burr?"

Burr blinked open her amber eyes, yawning in morning Sun. She was the closest to the exit of their home, so the sunlight always shone in her eyes. She sometimes thought it was unfair that the rest of her family slept in the shade and not her, considering she was the only one with long BLACK fur. But then, of course, it had some perks! Quietly scrambling to her paws, Burr hooked up a small piece of black fur with her claws. Carefully creeping over Ice's tail, Burr stood over her only other sister, Petal. Gently placing the fur on her nose, Burr lightly leaped over Ice and took her place near her favorite brother, Shadow. Laying down beside him, Burr pretended to be asleep, and waited for the fun to begin.
After a little while, Burr could hear someone shuffling around, then silence. Waiting, Burr had to keep herself from laughing when she heard her sister yowl, "Spider! There is a spider on my nose!"
Burr could hear her scramble to her paws, and an "Omff!" from Ice an Petal trampled him. Everyone was awake now...
"Spider! Spider! Get it off! Get it off!" Screeched Petal, jumping onto her mother. Burr could feel Shadow get up beside her, so she did the same.
Shadow gave her the sideways glance, "You?" Burr slightly nodded. Shadow chuckled quietly, "Nice..." 
Meanwhile, Petal was to wailing to Ash, their mother. "Hold still!" Ash comforted, gently hooking the fur off Petal's nose. "Look, it is just some fur." 
Blizzard, their father, sniffed it gently, then turned to face Burr. "Did you do this?" He asked, his deep voice rumbling. 
"No..." Burr lied, slowly back her way out of the box. The fun part was over, now, she had to deal with the consequences. 
"Burr!" Ash yelled, "You know you are not allowed to tease your sister!" They always knew when something happened, Burr was usually behind it. 
Holding up a paw, Blizzard meowed, "Maybe we could have her do some training..."
"What!?!" Screeched Ash, staring at her mate. "The kits are only two moons old!" 
"Do you want her to tease Petal, or Ice, almost every single morning?" Argued Blizzard. Burr couldn't believe what was happening. Was she finally going to start her training? 
"But what if Petal or Ice get hurt?" Fretted Ash, putting a protective around her to favorites. 
"They don't have to do it if they don't want to..." Meowed Blizzard, then looking toward Shadow, "Would you like to join us?" 
"Yes, please!" Shadow mewed, hoping excitedly. 
"Come along, then." Blizzard meowed.
