(( @fallensong -- Sorry, I swear I always get the genders wrong. It's like the third time this week I should be publicly shamed. ))
The mornings were always cooler, which was nice. Wrenkit didn't exactly have short hair like some of his clanmates; his was a medium length, still hot though.
At this current point in the morning he was sniffing around the freshkill pile. Sure he couldn't eat it yet but it was fun to look at and smell. Imagining what it would taste like. Milk was good and all but there was something wild and free about sinking your fangs into a vole that he was just dying to try.
In fact Wrenkit was so entranced in the dead rodents that he had failed to notice a warrior behind him until he had backed up into the she-cat. As usual this cat towered over him as Wrenkit spun around, jumping back and mewing immediately, "Oh hello! My bad!"
(( im so tired my muse is sinking into my matress))

(Don't wory, It's happened to me more times than I can count.)
Fallenblaze had returned to camp and placed the prey she had caught in the freashkill pile and then sat down. She was very focused on her own thoughts and didn't notice the cat bump into her until, well, they bumped into her. She growled slightly as she turned her attention to the clumsy cat, who turned out to be very young, surely not old enough to eat acctual food yet. "What are you doing messing around in the Freashkill pile?" Fallenblaze asked.
(Oh yeah, they may not get along well. I forgot, Fallen has major trust issues.)

The brown tabby tom stopped in his tracks, staring up at the female with his jaw wide open before he abruptly closed it and saw down. His gaze continuously locked on the warrior before him. "Er, well..." He started, not really having a great excuse. "Would you believe me if I said it was for the effect?"
As he waited for a reply, if there would be a reply; he looked over the she-cat. She didn't look entirely pleased, which made him slightly anxious. But part of him was positive he could turn her mood around. He was a kitten anyway, everyone loved kittens... right?

"The effect?" she asked, raising a brow. "Tell me, who's your mother?" she asked. The poor kit looked anxious, but she would recognize that naive glint in the kit's eyes anywhere. The spoiled 'i'm a kit so you have to love me' type of naivity. She chose not to comment on it though.

Wrenkit nodded, "Yes, the effect." Standing again and listened to the cat's second question. Adding a shrug he mewed, "Well my mother is none other than the wonderful Autumndust."
Not many cats truly knew who their father's were, so it wasn't a big deal that Wrenkit only had one parent. But one day it would be cool to figure out who his father was and truly meet him. Looking back up at the warrior he mewed, "Why do you ask?"

Fallenblaze nodded. "That makes sense. Autumndust's kits are always so odd. I suppose that comes from her having had been a loner before." she mused. "Just like me." (sorry, no muse)

Wrenkit's eyes brightened, a sister. And even better, a big sister. He hadn't managed to meet any of his siblings yet so it was nice to finally be face to face with someone who shared his flesh and blood. "Well hi!" He mewed cheerfully now, "names' Wrenkit by the way. And I don't think I caught yours... what might it be?"
He really didn't know many names yet, only well... Autumndust, Fallkit, and Olivekit. And of course the leader Arrowstar but everyone knew that. So there was no practical reason for him to start guessing names. He just sat there and waited patiently for a reply.

Fallenblaze gazed at the kit wearily, noticing the excitment that often came from a kit learning that they had a sibling. After a moment she said, "Fallenblaze."

Fallenblaze obviously was not much for conversation, but this didn't deter Wrenkit. Instead he continued to talk, filling in the blanks that were left in one sides conversations.
"Well," He mewed, "that's a pretty cool name. I think Wrenfeather or Wrenfoot would be a pretty cool warrior name for me. Not Wrenflight though that sounds feminine and I'm obviously a manly man." Wrenkit laughed to himself, he sounded as weird as could be but didn't care one bit.
"Who was your mentor?" He added.

Fallenblaze nodded cautiously and said, "Wrenfeather sounds the best of all of those." she said. "My mentor was a cat names Willowleaf."

Wrenfeather did sound like the best choice out of all the names he came up with, but there had to be more options. Unless his name was just one of those really awful names that you couldn't seem to be able to pair with anything. Fallenblaze could've paired her's with a lot of things, Wren... not so much.
Upon his sister mentioning her previous mentor Wrenkit immediately perked his ears and mewed, "I have no idea who my mentor is going to be... you're the only warrior I really know." He explained, he really had no idea.

Fallenblaze nodded. "Well then you know more warriors than I knew at your age."

Wrenkit shrugged, he really felt as though it was important to know as many cats as possible. The more cats you knew and the more cats you had on your good side; the more likely it was to succeed in well anything. As long as you put out a good rep for yourself you could really excel, or at least that was his opinion.
"Would you say you know a lot of warriors now?" He mewed inquisitively.

Fallenblaze shrugged. "I don't strive to." she responded. She acctually tried to do the opposite. In her opinion, the more cats you knew, the more cats that could betray you.

If Wrenkit could pick up anything off this cat it was that she had a lot of walls; a trait the two siblings from different litters luckily did not share. He wondered what had gone so wrong in her past that she had decided to seldom let other cat's in. But he decided that was a question he wasn't going to ask, at least not today; not when he barely knew her.
"Anyways!" He purred, adding another shy/awkward smile, "any apprentices?"
