Stormcloud waited for her apprentice at the clan entrance at dawn. She planned to lay down some rules, and then tour the territory that day with Asterpaw.

Asterpaw blinked awake, stretching herself out and licking off the moss still stuck to her pelt, before padding quietly out of the apprentice den. She had to admit, it was probably a good thing Stormcloud had waited until today to start her training; it had taken her a while to adjust to the new den, and her first night had been taken up by restlessness. Today, she seemed to have recovered from that, and was refreshed and ready to train.
"Good morning," She said, giving Stormcloud a respectful nod, "So, um, what are we gonna be doing today?"

Stormcloud smiled warmly at her new apprentice. "First I'm gonna lay down three basic rules while you eat, then we will tour the territory."

Asterpaw nodded, before making her way over to the fresh-kill pile and fetching out a rather plump shrew. She grabbed out another shrew for her mentor; the warrior had probably eaten, but it seemed rude to only grab one for herself.
Once she started tearing into it, she perked her ears, listening for those three rules.

Stormcloud chuckled slightly as she saw Asterpaw was grabbing two shrews, but didn't comment on it. "Rule number one, always do what I tell you durring training. This is important not just so that you learn properly, but so that you are safe. Number two, on the days I say there will be training, I will expect you to meet me here at dawn unless I say otherwise." she said, "And rule number three, ask questions. Everything is a learning opertunity, and you will learn more if you ask."

Asterpaw quietly watched Stormcloud as he spoke, nodding every now and again to confirm that she was indeed listening and not just zoning out on the spot. They seemed like easy enough instructions; do what she says, meet at dawn when there's training, and ask questions. A few moments after Stormcloud finished talking, Asterpaw gulped down the last piece of her shrew and stood up.
"Okay. So, does that mean it's time to go now?"
