[Hollylight]

Hollypaw grinned as he made his way around the border that separated his clan, Treeclan, with Iceclan, some smelly fish cats. He let out a small purr as he stepped among the cluttered mess of uneven rocks, a focused, yet joyful, expression on his face as he pounced and stepped up them. There were also quite a few trees scattered about the rocks, and it was reasonably colder at that part of the territory.

Crouching, Hollypaw spotted a tree that looked particularly climb-able and ran towards it, clambering up it's trunk and branches as fast as he could to get to the leafy top. A wide grin of pride spread over his face when he finally reached the top, although he knew he was a good climber, he had grown up in Treeclan afterall.

The young cat glanced down from his position in the tree, hiding himself and peering through the green leaves, a couple of them brushing against his molting pelt. He spotted something down below- a cat?

-i think it'd be nice for holly to learn about more of the clans so i'm just making a couple of border threads...-

[Darkpaw]

((Hey, Darks a little lonely rn, mind if he joins here?))

Darkpaw had been venturing out on his own, silently observing anyone who passed the borders. He liked to see other clan cats and learn about them when he couldn't be seen.

He was padding as quiet as he could around the rocks, black pelt letting him blend with shadows as he darted along to his usual hiding place, a tree with very dense leaves. When he got there, he was shocked to see another cat already in there, and from Treeclan no doubt from the scent.

He hissed and jumped back into the rocks, cursing, his fur spiked up. "What are you doing here?" He asked, voice icy. His pale lilac eyes pierced the other toms fur as he took him in, ending on his eyes.

He lashed his tail, annoyed his spot had been taken. "Who are you." He muttered, glancing around to make sure no one else was here. He unsheathed his claws and scraped them along the stone, leaving small indents in it.

Hollypaw flinched a little bit when he got a better view of this other cat- he sniffed the air and his nos wrinkled slightly, this cat was an Iceclanner, a sign that he probably shouldn't give this cat too much trust. Holly wasn't one to discriminate, but he wasn't one to put himself in danger either, and he decided his own safety was more important. Afterall, he had never met someone from another clan, so wasn't too sure how to react.

"Does that really matter?" he asked, tilting his head, "I'm on Treeclan's side of the border, surely I should be allowed here," he stated, swishing his dark tail, "And it's Hollypaw," he decided introducing himself wasn't too bad of an idea,
and he was probably being more defensive than he should, "Name yourself."

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw stood still as the Treeclanner spoke, annoyed for a few reasons - number one being the fact he had just been scared by this cat, two because this Treeclanner seemed a little high up him self, and three because they were sitting in his tree. Like come one wtf.

"No, I guess." He muttered, ears flat at the next comment. True, it was on Treeclan territory. "Darkpaw." He replied, pale lilac eyes icy and piercing as he scrutinized the tom. He nodded in greeting. "Hello, Hollypaw." He added, using the toms name just to prove he was not particularily an ashat.

Hollypaw smiled at the iceclanner's answer and slowly climbed down to a lower branch on the tree,
swishing his tail as it dangled from the branch.

"Well then," he raised his brows to the greeting, smiling slightly, "Hello, Darkpaw," he returned, lifting a paw and licking it.

Darkpaw watched as Hollypaw climbed to a lower branch, his tail swishing as it dangled. He frowned and little, petulantly.

Darkpaw nodded at the greeting, fur beginning to lay flat, though spots were still spiked. He sat back on his haunches, wondering how offended Hollypaw would be if he jumped up and climbed it... Nah. He shook his head, ears flicking as he vetoed the idea.

"So, what are you doing here." Darkpaw asked, looking at Hollypaw. "Wait, can I ask something. Are you a she-cat or a tom..." He meowed, questioning. He wasn't abashed he'd asked.

Hollypaw shrugged simply at Darkpaw's first question, "Just exploring really, wanted to get a good look at the territory without being..." he thought for around a second about word choice, "supervised, yes that's the word, by a warrior," he responded truthfully, "although I guess I could say the same to you."

The apprentice's brow raised slightly at the second question- it annoyed him a little, but then again he had seen his own reflection and understood how there could be a little confusion. "Well," he started, swishing his tail once, "I'm a tom."
