Lionpaw was perched quite comfortably in his moss-bed and grooming himself down. It was taking him a while to get out all the stubborn twigs and dirt-patches, with him only looking up when someone left or entered the den. A nagging voice in his brain was telling him to go out and practice, find someone to hunt with, but he stubbornly ignored it for the time-being. The sky was nearly pitch-black, there was no way he was going out there now! He smoothed down the fur on his tail before noticing a white figure approaching him. One last lick, and he stood up, his muzzle curling up into a smile once he made eye-contact. "Oh, hello, Lostpaw! I saw you at our ceremony! How's your apprenticeship been? Hopefully it's been as glorious as my own."

Lostpaw has grown not fear the clan cats as much she wasn't treated like she thought he would have been. She was walking into the apprentice den when she saw a familiar tom in one of the nests. With a smile the white she-cat started to walk towards him. She had so much she wanted to tell the golden tom.
"Hi Lionpaw! She purred it was weird say that instead of kit, but she'll get use to it. "Yeah I saw you too, and it has been great Blossomwhisper is an amazing mentor."{/b] she told him with a small nod. "Is it okay if I joined you?" she asked him, standing next to his nest.

"I was just finishing grooming myself down, so, I think that should be fine," He chirped, moving over so that Lostpaw had some room to sit down. The last time they'd spoken, Lionpaw had been positively filthy, so he was glad this cat could at now witness him at his (nearly) finest. Once he was sure they'd be comfortable, he starting blabbering.
"Well, I am glad your mentor was one that you wanted. How's your training been? Actually, how's your whole apprenticeship been so far?" He asked, before slowing down. He flashed a cocky grin. "Oh, and in case you wanted to ask, my mentor, Fadingnight, has been pretty good too. A bit intimidating... not that I'm scared of anyone! But, yeah."

Lostpaw laughed at his words., as he moved over for her. "I can tell, your fur looks great." she said. Last time she saw him his fur wasn't the neatest but it look fine now. The white she-cat sat next to him with a smile. "My training's been good I got to see the territory so far and the hunting crouch. she answered. She was going to say she found her sister but didn't now how to put it.
"You scared? I know you're not scared of anything. Umm also I have something I need to say." she pause thinking of a way to tell him. She didn't want him to think of her differently. "I found a family member recently. We were loners. now she's in Treeclan, our parents were killed in a rouge attack..." she said with another pause. "W don't have to go on that adventure anymore." she finish giving a small smile. She hoped he wouldn't think she'd leave Fireclan to be with her sister. Lostpaw wanted to stay here in Fireclan.

Lionpaw quickly basked in the compliment, grinning. "I spent quite a while on it too, so I'm glad someone else agrees with me." It wasn't even just out of his own vanity; his fur only seemed to be getting longer as time went by. He glanced over to Lostpaw, listening before giving his own input. "Yeah, me too. I caught a vole!" He decided to leave out the part about his initial crouch not being the best.
He was ready to profusely agree with her statement of him not being scared, before her tone changed. "Alright, what is it then?" Not a second later, he received his answer. His eyes grew wide. The further she explained, the lower his smile dropped until it was a full-on grimace. The comment at the end caused him to snort. Then, silence.
"That's messed up," He blurted, before widening his eyes again. "I mean, I don't mean that in a bad way, just, that's really sad that your parents are just, y'know. Gone. And, another thing, are you still gonna be staying here in Fireclan?"

"That's good!" she purred, she was happy that he was having fun and even caught a vole. After she told him her story he was frowning. The white she-cat wanted to know what he was thinking, he didn't seem to happy.
Her odd eyes widened in shock at his first words. His next she just slowly nodded her head. "I know but I think it's better then what I first thought. I thought they didn't want me and they left me there. But they didn't they died protecting me and Olivepaw." she said giving a sad smile. The last question she shook her head head fast. "No I wouldn't be able to, everyone I've met feels like family. Y'all were the ones who has been there. I can't leave y'all." she told him in all honesty.

For once, he actually regretted not being good at filtering his brain. He doubted Lostpaw's comment about it not being so bad, but was soon nodding with amazed eyes, mouth open. Lionpaw gulped and said, "Woah. So, they basically saved the both of you. That's pretty heroic!" He swished his tail and looked to the moss-beds to that his siblings usually slept in. It'd be cool to be someone's savior, but after what he learned today, maybe sacrificing yourself wasn't the best idea. "Still sucks that they're gone, though. I'm sorry. I mean, I didn't do anything, but you know..."
He lightened up at the answer to his question, sitting up a bit straighter. "Yeah, Fireclan is your family now! No take-backs, sorry. You're here to stay," Lionpaw said with a laugh. Then, in a few seconds, he managed to revert back to his cocky persona, grin taking on a sharp edge. "And, plus, how could you leave my magnificence behind?"

"It was I guess" she said with a small smile. Lostpaw still didn't know their names, was that bad? "It is but I don't even know what they looked like, or even their names." she told him with a small nod.
Lostpaw couldn't help but laugh as he said she couldn't leave. "Yeah, Fireclan is pretty great." the white she-cat smiled. She playfully rolled her odd eyes, but went with it. "I know I could never leave you behind." she laughed.

His grin widened, tail swishing in satisfaction. He caught her eye-roll and laughed. "Of course! To leave me behind is probably just unthinkable. Impossible." Although his tone was bathed in cockiness, inside, he was really glad she'd decided to stay. He was just a tad too prideful to give a personal confession.
Then, his expression hardened. He thought back to Lostkit's previous comment. Maybe he could pull off this whole 'serious deep-thinker' thing after all. "Y'know, a lot of cats born here don't even know who their dads are. I don't, anyway. I mean, for all I know, Sandkit and Dustkit actually have different dads. I hope not, but still."

Lostpaw tried to glare at him but she couldn't, and she gave a small smile. "Yeah completely impossible." she purred. Lostpaw could tell he was glad she was staying here, but she didn't mention it.
Her smile faltered when she noticed his expression hardened. She listened to him, he doesn't know his dad? "Oh I'm sorry Lionpaw. I didn't know. I've been talking about how I don't know my family, and you don't even know your dad." she said quietly.

Lionpaw shrugged, flashing Lostpaw a toothy grin. Sure, he liked attention, but he'd prefer it to be over him being a valiant warrior than pity over not knowing his dad. "Eh, it's no biggie. I mean, I at least know my mom, and my siblings too. It's not something I've really put much thought into." That was mostly the truth. There was only one time where he'd thought about what a 'dad' would even be like, if he'd be proud of Lionpaw.
He shook his head. "Hey, what's your family member like anyway? They must be at least a little different from you, being in Treeclan and all."

"That's true." she said. The only time she had thought of her family was when someone asked about them. That was only a few people though.
"She seemed really nice. I didn't really get to talk to her for long. I was afraid a patrol would come by." she told him with a shrug. Her odd eyes widened as an idea popped into her head. "Maybe you and Fennelkit can come with me to visit next time." she smiled.

Lionpaw nodded. "Really? I mean, that's good. A lot better than your... uh, Olivepaw, being a complete jerk. But, I dunno, it sounds like a pain, having to make sure you don't get caught by a patrol. Eh." As loyal as he was to Fireclan, being torn apart from your loved ones by boundaries almost seemed wrong. He didn't want to think further into that.
He widened his eyes in surprise at her next comment. "Huh, really? I mean, I can't blame you, wanting to bring me along and all, but would your sister want that? Like, what if she just bolted or something?"
