❊ FEARLESS ❊
Water burbled over river rocks, bouncing and foaming as it made it's way through the territory, cutting it's way through green grass and lovely turf. Nothing stopped it, the rocks tried, yet failed, as the water rushed right on passed them, and they were soaked to their rocky cores. Some had moss and foliage growing on them, others were smooth and slippery. Some were ragged, and stuck straight up from the water. Some rocks produced waterfalls, playing with the river as it made its way to a calm pond, a pond by the name of Blossom Pond.
However, something was different about the river today. Sure, the rocks still played their games, and the water still siddled by them without a thought, but something else jut out of the stream. A furry body, the colour of light sand, floated down the river. It did not shiver, it did not move, but it lay on its small side, staying afloat through the currents. It was a miracle the small thing didn't completelt drown, yet still had access to oxygen as it played with the river.
Yet, the river got tired of it, and spilled it over into a pond. There, the small creature floated for only a bit longer, before its waterlogged pelt dragged it underwater, starting to drown the poor thing. Light filtered through the ripples above, lighting the sandy fur as it gently waved in the current of the pond. Slowly, it sunk to the bottom, paws extended to the surface. A bubble escaped its lips, oxygen was released. Water would no doubt fill its lung soon, and it would die. Where it had come from, no one knew, but for now, it was here, and might remain here forever.
