I'm nuts, baby, I'm mad The craziest friend that you've ever had You think I'm psycho, you think I'm gone Tell the psychiatrist something is wrong
WORDS: 159; NOTES: barf post. And template that kills you xD
"It wasn't us." The statement Loki gave seemed so out of place, but if Cali could interpret it, the sentence would eventually make sense. It was like a small riddle, one that took a little bit of thought, before finally, you'd understand it.
And just like that, the emotionless shell broke again, and Loki gave his sister a nearly sympathetic look. "Your always so serious," he stated, but once it left his mouth, he looked away. If she was serious, what was he? An emotionless rock? A humourless blade of grass? He suddenly, and completely, felt like nothing, just as he felt around his father, his brother. In Asgard, he had no meaning. And once again, he still had no meaning. What was he meant for? Company? He wasn't even good company.

Calista blinked, taken aback by both of Loki's statements. "You'd be surprised." she said after his second note, not bothering to figure out the first note as she recognized the look on Loki's face. She had seen it so many times traveling the realms to find this place, and wouldn't let her own brother be devoured by it. "Loki, I want you to know, no matter what I say, you are my brother. I may get upset at you a lot, but you and Thor? You guys are my world. I may have lost site of that before, but I won't again. You are my witty, eloquent, misunderstood brother, and you are important. You have a purpose. You are not nothing, and you are good at being you. You make desisions, good or bad, just like anyone else, except you do it in your own way, so if you think you are nothing, what does that make the rest of us, because I won't let anyone, even myself, tell me that I am nothing to or less than nothing." she said.

Her words were so deep, they almost stung, and he wished they were still kits once more. Kits did not care what others thought of them, they did whatever they want. Maybe Loki should just go back to his kit-like lifestyle. "Sometimes I forget I have a family, and then when I feel I'm all alone in this world, you appear again, and everytime, I'm surprised. I saw you die, and now your here, the only cat I truly care about in all the nine realms."

(Loki really needs to get a girlfriend.) Calista shook her head at Loki's response. "There are much more than nine realms, I have learnt that if nothing else." she said, chuckling, "And I know you do care about Thor, deep as you may bury the fact."

Loki nearly scoffed at her comment, but found himself with a small smile. A genuine smile, not sly, not mischievous. It was a smile he nearly never used, one that didn't belong to him. But instead of going back to Thor, he ran with the realms subject. "Cali, I do know of Heven, the tenth realm, and the many more half realms out there. Yet, I do believe you speak of something different."

Cali nodded. "Of course I do." she said with a teasing smile, "There are really about 21 realms, though I could be miscounting. I've been to about 13, but I've heard of quite a few others."

This was new information to Loki, and he nearly sucked it in like a sponge. He desprately wanted his books back now, having not read a single one in a very long time. He suddenly found himself saying, "I wish they had books here."

Calista chuckled. "Even if they did, which they don't, no cat would be able to read hem. There is no written system here, though I know a mute cat who uses a rough, very premitive version of it to get messengs across." she responded, "He died though, I think someone mistook his warning of a fox for him wanting a mouse and he was injured so he couldn't defend himself. There was quite a bit of blood." she said, speaking pensively rather than with any distraught as most cats would. After leaving she had had bad luck in so many places before getting there that they really didn't bother her. Either that or she was to emotionally tired to care.

Loki nearly frowned in a slightly childish way, and complained to himself, within his own thoughts. "That... is strange." He responded to her short story, flipping over the scene in his head.

(Aren't they already like 2798 moons old?)
Calista nodded, then shook her head. "Yes it is. So you don't want books here. Besides, most of the realms don't even know all other 20 exists. Most think there are 0-10 realms. Our realms aren't really head of outside our nine."

I'm nuts, baby, I'm mad The craziest friend that you've ever had You think I'm psycho, you think I'm gone Tell the psychiatrist something is wrong
WORDS: 404; notes: 1,000th post, had to make it glorious and 12,650 moons
Her words rang out through the air, the deaf, canyon wind carrying them away as Loki thought over them. More than 10 realms, many more, in fact. The nine he knew weren't even the head, not even the top dogs. 11 other realms exsisted, and Loki guessed the cats who still resided in Asgard had no idea they exsisted. His ear twitched, once again wishing for books. The crisp pages as he slid a claw underneath them, and the sound of pages turning as his claw flipped up and over, carrying the page with it. Why had his many books not told of these other realms? Sure, he knew of Heven, and the skull of a long ago giant that might be considered a realm. The trash heep of a realm, which surely couldn't also be called a realm. What realm was greater than the nine? He couldn't seem to figure it out, and his thoughts swirled like gentle stormclouds in his mind.
He found that he might've left Cali in momentary silence, so he proposed a question. "Do you know these realms' names, and where they are located?" He found himself wanting to leave Midgard behind, to adventure like he once did in his youth, before he was practically banished from Asgard. The many things he once knew came back, and he seemed to remember them all at once. All the creatures he'd studied, and the enemies he'd known about and warned his realm about. He'd known so much, and he felt his time on Midgard had been making him slower, dumber, less sharp, less keen. He'd once been more witty than this. He felt like a slug once more.
A subconscious thought escaped Loki's lips. "Even the air of this place feels sick, like it's laden with an unseen disease." There was thought behind this thought. He'd always wondered why the cats here acted so slow, so unkeen, and now Loki believed he'd figured it out. He met his sister's blue gaze quickly, a question on his tongue, yet he did not speak it. It lay there, on the tip, but it did not come out, so he stayed, staring at his sister until she responded.

(And glorious it is. Do you remember making these accounts?) Calista sighed. "Well, to start, there is acctually a Cloudclan which is only acessable by dying here in this general region of Misgaurd. I'm not sure where this region ends though and a new one begins, so don't ask me. Cloudclan knows about the other realms in a sense. They know that as spirits are forgotten, they fade, eventually turning into nothing. Once a soul fades, it travels to either Heaven, Duat, or Folkvang, depending on which one claims it first. They claim souls from the time the spirit dies, and that is usually based off the type of car though they have been known to be greedy and just want more spirits than the other realms. There is also a place called Mount Olympus. It is on top of a practically unclimbable mountain here, and it is where these other cats, a lot like those in Asgaurd, live. I've been there and I was 'banished for bewitching' one of the king's many sons." she said, counting off 13 already, "Mount Olympus knows of this realm, but they call it Earth, a rediculus name if you ask me. There's the one Faeryn is from, which I'm pretty sure is different than any I know about, though she hasn't actually told me she was from another realm yet. I'm working up trust. There are about 4 more minor realms I've heard of, and 3 that I've been to. I'm not sure the names, but they are quite easy to get to if you know what to look for. One you have to access through a rabbit whole." she added, trying to think of the last one. After a moment she said, "Oh yeah, then there is actually a realm of dreams. It is quite interesting if you escape your dream to visit, it's like a network of everyone's subconciouses." she said, "Though make sure never to get lost because if you can't find your own subconscious, you will never get out."
"Loki, you're kidding, right? This realm isn't sick or dying. It is possible as I've been to a dying realm, but it's nothing like this. What you're sensing now is simply the inexsistance of magi in a realm, the whole that it leaves." she explained. It had taken a while for her herself to relise it. It had the same feeling as her own powers, her magic to take away magic. "Its one of the cursed realms. There are a few realms that brought anger on someone who had magic like mine, so this cat cursed these few realms to live forever more without magic. Now they've forgotten it ever exsisted. The effect it has on you is aging. As you know, cats here get old and die. The same will happen to you eventually, though it takes many moons. As cats age they get abbot slower. Entering into one of the non cursed realms usually is all you need to reverse the process, though there will still be the small imprint you see even in our realm."

WORDS: 163; notes: it stinks that faeryn deleted her account
"We were never immortal, Cali. Even on Asgard, we aged, and everyone would slowly die, if they were not first killed in battle or of a disease. It is simply the way it is. The only difference about aging here is that it is more rapid, cats die quicker, while we live for thousands of years. I do not believe this land will affect our aging, but it is certainly affecting our magic, and perhaps it is the absence that I feel, and this absence of magic feels like an unseen disease." Loki then went back to the time she mentioned Faeryn. "Ah yes, Faeryn. When I was an apprentice, I travelled to her island, realm, and met her by coincidence. I do believe she grew quite fond of me." A small smile crossed Loki's lips.

(She deleted her account? That's to bad, I thought she was off to a good start on this website.) "I never said we were immortal. I was always the one saying we weren't immortal. All cats die, and rushing into battle never helped." she said, shooting him a teasing glare. "The aging effects us more here as well. It's fast enough that I can feel it. I see the effects every day. And thanks for saying the signature of my powers feels like an unseen disease." she said, her teasing glare loosing the teasing touch for a moment. She turned it into a smile after a moment though. "Faeryn did seem nice. She does seem a bit out of place though."

Loki rolled his eyes. "You know what I meant. At least your not called a traitorous trickster because your powers are illusions." He caught the teasing glint of her eye leave for a moment, then a smile come to her face as she mentioned Faeryn again. "I haven't seen her around lately. I wonder if she decided to go back home."
