NightingaleBurr, stumbling over many pebbles, trudged forward. Being blind wasn't fun or easy, but it cause for adventures to happen every second. Not fun adventures... Running (or limping) away from every sound, feeling movement vibrating from the ground but not being able to tell what it was, even the mice seemed to scare her. Not for long, though. She had finally defected a mouse in a patch of think grass. Crouching low, Burr sniffed gingerly. The black she-cat couldn't remember the last time she had eaten, but she hoped that the growling of her stomach didn't alarm the prey. Leaping, Burr felt relief roll over her as she felt her claws pierce the prey's fur. Killing it swiftly, Burr settled down to finally eat. Before she could take the first bite of her kill, Burr's ears pricked up. Scenting another cat around, Burr stood up, her claws sinking into the ground. Looking around (even though she knew she wouldn't see anything), Burr hissed, "I know you are there! Don't even try sneaking up on me!"

Rose woke up to a glorious morning. The sun was shining brightly, falling through the leaves, dappling itself to grace upon the Siamese in drops of gold. She stretched gracefully in her makeshift nest, leaves and flowers raked together into a somewhat-comfortable bundle. And she rolled onto her paws to take on the day.
Her stomach was empty, though it had been for quite a while. She still hasn't figured out the ropes of this, being 'wild' thing. It did leave her in awe of the natural world, of flocks of birds and meadows flowers, but also with an almost constantly empty belly. As she padded elegant forward, she came across a pond, small but beautiful, and dipped her long neck for a quick drink.
This was when she heard the telltale swish of a cat's movements, and she lifted her head, whiskers dripping with water, and her tail whisked behind her. She backed away slowly from the pond, deep blue eyes scanning her surroundings, until she noticed another cat, possibly also a loner, leaping onto a mouse. She couldn't help but admire the black cat's hunting skills.
Before she could say anything, or even move, the other cat was confronting her. Startled, she didn't let that change her demeanour, and when she spoke she spoke with her same calm voice.
"I have no interest in sneaking up on you," she meowed, walking forward. "Whatever would make you think that?" NOTES ;notes here

Ignoring the she-cat's question, Burr asked sourly, "Why are you here? Are you looking for someone?" One thing about being blind, is that you can never see what's you are talking too. Everyday Burr feared that she might be talking to one of the Rogues who took her sight. "Who are you?"

Rose was the upmost puzzled at this cat's confusion, her aggression towards her. When she blatantly ignored her question, she tipped her head ever so slightly to the left.
"I'm not looking for anyone," she meowed smoothly. "Can't a lady get a morning drink around here?"
She walked elegantly forward, trying not to stare at the cat too much. Her deep blue eyes focused on the she-cat's black pelt, then the mouse, then her eyes which, surprisingly, didn't appear focused on hers.
"I'm Rose," she meowed, as gently as she could. She felt the need to calm down this cat, to show that she had nothing to fear, that Rose was not an enemy. Not trying to approach her any further, her dark tail gently swept up the grass behind her. "I am a loner. I mean no harm."

As the she-cat that she ment no harm, Burr only relaxed a little. Rose, the young she-cat, seemed to want to comfort her. Burr decided that she should at least apologize for being so hostile. "Sorry, I thought you were someone else." She meowed, with very little sympathy, "I'm Burr."

"It's quite alright," Rose meowed, graciously accepting the apology though she didn't hear much sympathy enveloped in it. A foxlength away from the stranger, she sat down, tail curled primly around her paws, almond eyes alight with curiosity.
"My name is Rose. It's a delight to meet you, Burr," she gave the slightest dips of her head, angled slightly from the left. Her eyes flickered up to the sky.
"Lovely weather today," she meowed, though it wasn't quite. The sky that stretched out above them was blue, yes, but clouds littered the canvas and flawed the beauty. However, conversation starters were in decline as she quickly used up all of her one-liners, leaving her to resort to the most basic and elementary; inquiries about the weather.
NOTES ; sorry for the late reply!! i thought i'd replied already.

"You already mentioned that." Burr mewed sourly, flicking her tail. "Your name is Rose... So what? You could be named Daisy for all I care."
"I don't know..." Burr meowed, "Is the sky clear?"
(Wow... Burr is not in a good mood...)

two enormous black wings "Not too clear," she meowed as realisation overcame her. Of course. She was almost disappointed in herself that she didn't come to the understanding sooner. "It's quite cloudy, actually. That was just a conversation opener, I'm afraid."
Deep blue eyes turned back to Burr, and she tipped her head. "I don't like daisies. Terrible flowers."
oops i forgot she already introduced herself lol

"A conversation opener?" Burr snorted, "You really want someone to talk to don't you?"
"It was just a reference... Okay?" Burr muttered as Rose said that daisies were horrible flowers. "The flower daisy was just the first one I thought of...."

two enormous black wings "You really want someone to talk to don't you?"
"I suppose so." Rose smiled a close-lipped smile, complete with flashing deep blue eyes. More talking, more secrets come out, more leverage to use in case she ever needed to.
"And you, my dear? Any words to say that're worth my time?"
