The senior warrior trudged into the warriors' den, not really expecting much. He was tired and it was a long day. He did not see his friends in such a long time, less his family. Ever since finding out that his sister passed away many moons ago, the tom just did not have the energy or guidance to continue his duties. He was neglecting his apprentices so much, that he did not even have the courage to tell them that it was best for them to find someone else to continue their training with.
Maybe it was just better like this. To have no more family. Other than his daughter, Swanbreeze. Hopefully she was doing fine with Treeclan. It wasn't like she was really having problems with them earlier anyways. His fur was dirty, and tangled up. It wasn't suitable, but he was done with sleeping out in the territory for so long. He was ready to come back home to Fireclan and simply wait. Wait for something to happen. Anything really. So he claimed a spot in the furthest corner of the den, even though seniors had first dibs of claiming the center of the den. He just was not ready for that type of honor or privilege yet.
With his working eye surveying the place, it was different than how he remembered things to be, but he would adjust. Not to mention that there was a new leader and deputy since the last he's been in the camp. He'd meet them eventually.
