Crevicelight

Fallpaw was tired, very very tired. After all his recent training the past few days, he'd not gotten a break, and so decided to explore a little around his home. This began with the snooping around other clans at the boundaries. 

With a deep breath, Fallpaw smiled slightly as he realised he felt content and relaxed for the first time in a while. It was a really great feeling. He padded a few steps along the border, curiously gazing at Rockclan territory. Who was out there right now? What was Rockclan doing? Was their new territory good? He zoned out a little as his mind wandered.

A gentle breeze swirled around him, catching up his longer, multicoloured fur, and with it bought a scent. A cat. He turned to the direction it was coming from and blinked his brown eyes as he swished his furry tail once. Who could it be? He'd never scented this before so the cat must be new...

Once again, Crevicelight found herself exploring the cliffs and beach of the new territory. Cloverstar should just promote her to all patrols if necessary!

The wind was blowing in her direction, meaning that her scent was blowing away from the camp, but she did not care. It wasn't like she was planning an ambush or anything. Plus, this new terrain was way more windy than the old territory. She wondered how and when the clan would have to go into battle. Hopefully no time soon.

She trotted to and fro, trying to remember as much as she could. Three steps to the right was the cliffs. Five steps to the left was a branch. Not like she needed to analyze the branch, but this made her realize she was probably close to Treeclan.

And she was right! She spotted a cat on their side of the border, and he seemed to be looking at her. Spying maybe? "You know, it's amazing how you guys can climb trees, while we can climb rocks and cliffs," she stated, trying hard to remain on her side of the territory.

Fallpaw again blinked at the other cat near him. "Uh, yeah. It is, I guess..." He meowed, quizzically. What was she meowing about? Climbing stuff? Sure, he was great at climbing trees... but he'd never tried to climb a rock before. Probably because he'd never found one big enough to climb. The biggest one he'd seen was a pebble, but looking into Rockclan territory he was sort of shocked by the amount of large rocks there. The name suited the clan well.

"Um hello. I'm Fallpaw. Who are you?" He asked, deciding it was alright to give his name. He noticed how it looked like she was trying hard not to cross onto his territory but he shrugged. He didn't really care if she stepped a little into onto their side... mainly cause the border is just a scent marker and it's easy to miss it when it's faint in patches.

Crevicelight took in the stranger's name. Fallpaw. So he was an apprentice who looked like a warrior. Or maybe he would get his ceremony soon. Already, she was trying to find tussle partners or someone to run into during a skirmish. That would be fun.

"I'm Crevicelight," she mewed, still fascinated with Treeclan's special skill. "I thought apprentices aren't supposed to be wandering the territory unless they have a warrior with them? Or that's how Cloverstar's rule is. I'm not sure what Arrowstar says, but I know that I used to get in trouble whenever Cloverstar found out that I snuck out."

Fallpaw wearily watched the she-cats expression as she looked at him, wondering what she was thinking.

The she announced her name, Crevicelight, and he blinked. What a cool name.

Then she went on to meow about the fact she thought apprentices weren't supposed to be out alone, and laughed.
"No, no we can go where we like, as long as no trouble." He meowed, smiling. He actually didn't know if this was true but no one stopped him when he had left so...

He grinned slightly as Crevicelight told him about the fact she used to get in trouble when she used to sneak out. How fun, he wondered what it would be like to live in Rockclan...

"Um, can I ask you a question? What is it like in Rockclan?" He inquired, curious. He didn't know if Crevicelight would tell him anything but it was worth a shot.

"Oh, okay! I wish Cloverstar gave us that rule," she whined, thinking of all the adventures she could have had. She barely ever got into trouble anyways!

She was a bit confused at Fallpaw's question. What was it like in Rockclan? The best thing ever, duh! She wanted to tell him everything, but then again, he probably saw Treeclan to be the best clan ever too. She felt a bit bad for him. He was honestly missing out.

"There's a lot of rocks to climb and we're found with the cliffs, so there's a bunch more climbing and hiding places to play around in!" She did not yet know that much of the new territory though. "I miss the old territory, but oh well. Fireclan can have it." Her nose wrinkled saying that.

"But I mean, it's fun to explore around here sometimes! But it can get lonely." Crevicelight then lowered her voice. "Keep this between us, but I'm not really sure where my clanmates are. Or I haven't really seen them in moons."

Fallpaw laughed a little at Crevicelights whine. He nodded as he listened to Crevicelight tell him about Rockclan, curious.
"Why did you have to move territory? And why does Fireclan have it?" He asked, unsure of why and so wanting to find out.

When Crevicelight lowered her voice and asked him to keep what she had said between them, He nodded. "Of course."

"Fireclan wanted to expand, and Rockclan wanted to keep our home. But we eventually found this place, so now here we are!" Long story short, Crevicelight did not want to explain the exact reasoning. Fallpaw was not of her clan, and as much as she enjoyed the Treeclanner's company, she knew where the Treeclanner's loyalties would lie at the end of the day.

Fallpaw nodded, listening closely in curiosity, as the Rockclanner spoke. He noticed blandly that she had avoided saying the exact reasons, but he didn't say anything in fear or offending or angering her.
She was a warrior and he was not.
"Oh, ok." He meowed when she had finished, flicking his ears in a sort of message saying he understood she was not going to reveal anything and he wouldn't be silly about it.

Crevicelight looked at Fallpaw for a quick second, before crossing the border. "So. How's life in Treeclan? Anything big happen with you guys lately?"

The warrior took in the sight of Rockclan from Fallpaw's perspective. It still looked the same as she saw it. Weird.

Fallpaw flicked his tail, shaking his head.
"No, nothing really..." He meowed, thinking for a moment. At least he didn't think so... and even if he did he wouldnt share it if it were bad.
"Life in Treeclan is ok... a little boring." He laughed, shrugging.
It was true.
He watched her as she looked at Rockclan from his side of the border, and twitched his ears as a look passed her face.
"What?" He chuckled, curious.
