@thegreatlion
Sandpaw ran as fast as she could around a large rock. Since her mentor, Redfoot, hasn't been around to help her train, she decided to try to practice on her own. After she ran around the rock five times, and even though she was out of breath, she pretended that she was against a TreeClan warrior. Rolling onto her back, Sandpaw kicked her hind legs as hard as she could. Rolling back up, Sandpaw launched onto a small rock, raking her claws across it.
During her exercise, Sandpaw didn't notice another cat approach.
(Ahh! I thought I already made this!!!! So sorry!)

Times had changed for the golden apprentice. Not so much that it was unbearable, or too obvious, but enough to still have an impact. He trotted across the territory, mostly zoned out, as he tried to practice his hunting skills. His mouth was open, eyes wide, as he tried to locate some sort of scent. How could he ever become Fireclan's greatest warrior if he couldn't even find a single piece of prey?
Then, something else caught his nose. Not a squirrel, or a bird, but another cat. Darn it. He turned his head to follow the smell anyway and spotted a cream-colored cat, fighting a rock. Wait, was that...
"Sandpaw!" He shouted. Within a couple of seconds, he had reached his sister, grinning playfully as he pounced towards her.

Sandpaw jumped as someone from behind called to her. Turning fast she could, and with her fur all fluffed out, Sandpaw realized that it was Lionpaw, her brother. Her pelt flattening, Sandpaw mewed happily, "Lionpaw! I didn't know you were there!" Trotting up to him, she touched noses and then meowed, "How's your training going?"

((sorry for the late reply!))
Lionpaw chuckled as he reached his sister's surprise, not quite close enough to actually land on her. Oh well. Walking over to her with a confident stride, he said,"Huh, really? I didn't think it was possible for someone like me to go un-noticed." He touched noses, and he stepped back, waving his tail in the air.
His grin became wider at the question. "It's going brilliantly! Y'know, my mentor Fadingnight seemed, I dunno, really strict and serious? But I guess that's a good thing. I'm learning how to hunt and we went on a territory tour, which was super long and kinda creepy." He decided to omit his embarrassing reaction to the appropriately named 'Graveyard'. Tilting his head, he asked, "How about you?"

"Haha..." Sandpaw meowed sarcastically, flicking her tail against her brother's ear.
"It's great hearing that!" Purred Sandpaw, "Though I wonder what part would creep a cat like you out!" Sandpaw chuckled slightly. It was great seeing her brother again, when he wasn't busy during his training. "I don't really know about my training... How did it look?"

His cocky smile lost it's edge once Sandpaw asked what part had creeped him out. Darn it, and she was sounding so glad for him just a second ago, too. "Uh. Well. I mean, have you been around the territory yet? We've got a cave full of scorpions, a sticky reed place, and a burial ground for two-legs, Sandpaw! Even the places that look pretty are usually hunting grounds for predators," He said with a huff. Then, he quickly added, "Not that I'm, like, scared or anything. But still."
Lionpaw titled his head to the side. "It looked pretty intense, sis." His eyes trailed the claw marks scarring the rock. He felt warmth in his heart - pride, he guessed - with slight apprehension. Shrugging, he said, "Don't you think it'd be more effective if you fought against an actual cat though?"

Sandpaw shifted her position when Lionpaw listed all of the places. "Wow..." Sandpaw meowed, totally surprises, "I haven't really been around the territory yet. Redfoot seems busy for most of the time."
"I try to make it more of a challenge everyday." Sandpaw purred when her brother said that her training looked intense, "I try adding a new obstacle everyday." As she talked about her challenges, Sandpaw remembered that she didn't do her hunting yet, so she made a mental note to do it later. "No... I can't really find you guys, because you and Dustpaw are both out with you mentors. This is really the first time I started a real conversation with one you two. Anyway, would you mind showing me a few moves?"

Lionpaw frowned at the realization that Sandpaw had little to no idea of what the territory was like. Without a proper tour, he wasn't even sure if an apprentice was allowed to hunt or explore, in case they got lost or something worse. Would he be allowed to show her around? His thoughts remained in his head, however, tail flicking with anxiety.
Luckily, before Lionpaw could burst with brotherly concern, Sandpaw began talking about her self-taught training instead. At least she was keeping up with it? Sort of? "And, what kind of obstacles are those, exactly? Please don't tell me you're eventually gonna try fight off a fox or something," He said with a laugh. It died off quickly. The gold apprentice felt relieved when she asked for a fighting lesson, leaving no time for him to stew in his guilt. Some brother you are.
"Sure. Nothing the greatest warrior in Fireclan can't handle. I'm gonna start off with an easy one, and I guess we can go on from there," He said. Keeping his paws sheathed, he rushed towards Sandpaw and raised both his paws up, aiming to smack them down on her face.

"Of coarse not silly!" Sandpaw chuckled, "Taking one on now would be a disaster!" Then a mischievous look caught her eye, "But then someone like you would be able to fend one off with one paw!"
"Haha..." Sandpaw teased, she tensed up as Lionpaw rushed up and swiped at her face. One lightly tapped her mussel before she sidestepped and slashed out a paw, with her claws sheathed (of coarse), to cuff her brother around the ear.

((sorry for the hella late response!))
"Oh, I could probably take a fox on blind! But still, you can't blame me for having brotherly concerns," He said, grinning, managing to lightly brush Sandpaw's muzzle with his attack. Ducking down into a defensive stance, his sister's swipe brushed against his ear as well. So, they were both pretty agile.
Quickly, Lionpaw turned around and tried kicking at her with his hind-legs. Not the greatest transition into that attack, but hopefully it'd still hit. Besides, showing off different moves could be useful!

"You and Dustpaw..." Sandpaw mewed, "I guess I can't blame you two for being good brothers."
Lionpaw had managed to dodge her attack when he suddenly spun around and kicked with his hind legs. Sandpaw didn't see it coming until it was too late. Turing as quick as she could, Sandpaw felt his paws land hard on her shoulder. Falling over, Sandpaw huffed as she scrambled to her paws, "Nice move!", She called before she leaped towards Lionpaw, aiming to land on his back.
(It's fine! I do that all the time...)
