Brambles [OPEN]

[Bramblekit]

Bramblekit was feeling lonely, cause there weren't many kits her age around. She was in her nest, staring at a moss ball as if willing it to move and play with her because no one else would.



Then she turned at the sound of paw steps, and beamed as she realised it was another kit!

"Helloo!" She squealed, bouncing a little. Her gold and white tortoiseshell fur was fluffed up, her gold eyes shining.



"I'm Bramblekit, who are you?"

Otter had just finished a game with Redkit, his big baby blue eyes still alight with excitement. As he made his way softly along the nursery, he ignored the judgmental and sharp looks from the elder kittens, instead focusing on the kind mews from someone named Bramblekit. "Hi, I'm Otter. Otterkit." He chuckled sweetly at her obvious cheeriness, a smile handsomely spreading across his thin brown face. The male kittens' gaze flitted down to the side, spotting a lonely mossball patiently waiting to be played with. He wasn't much of a mossball player, though he figured it was better than nothing.  A claw clumsily flew out and hooked the ball, snapping his wrist to throw it into the air in a swift movement and catching it in his mouth easily. His paws tickled with impatience, eyes twinkling in mischief, daring the darling she kit to catch the ball from him.

Bramblekit smiled at the tom. "Hey Otterkit!" Her fur was slightly fluffed up in excitement and happiness.

She didn't notice as he baby blue eyes flicked in the direction of the moss ball which she had half forgotten about, and when his paw darted out and flicked it into his jaws she beamed.

Her gold eyes locked on his mischievous ones for a moment before she ducked into a low crouch and playfully let out a mrowl before jumping side to side and feigning stealing the moss ball, and then went to chase him.

The tom blinked in surprise as she caught him off guard and snatched the ball away, though quickly turning and running when she charged him. He was laughing as he ran, tail swishing through the air happily as he dodged her various attacks.  Otterkit finally shook her off his tail when he stopped abruptly and pressed his body to the ground, Bramblekit sailing over him in high-speed.  Rising to his paws, he faced the direction she had gone, slightly out of breath as he grinned her way. "Got ya." He declared his victory smugly before sitting back on his haunches.

Bramblekit was grinning as she chased Otterkit, and when he crouched so she went over him and then grinned at her, saying 'got ya'.

She faced him and gaped at him in shock and laughter.
"Wow, great move!" She enthusiastically grinned back, flopping down to get her breath back. Her gold eyes were shining and her fluffy fur stuck up wildly.

"Thank you, not too shabby yourself." Was his simple reply, not caring to hold in any compliments. A paw gingerly rubbed over his ear as he studied the tortie kitten.
