Breezepaw [ Hey, you don't have to reply to this. Just figured you're four posts away from apprentice, so... ]


It was night. Fennelpaw had stayed up late, sneaking out of the apprentices' den when he thought no one would notice. He crept into the nursery, looking for a familiar face- Breezekit. He missed her, honestly. She should be an apprentice soon, though, and this made the golden tom very excited.

Soon, he caught sight of her beautiful pelt in the dark (the white parts were what saved him), and he quietly approached her nest, prodding her gently. He was still around her size, though he was rounder than he'd been before. "Breezekit?" he whispered as quietly as he could while being audible. "Are you awake? It's Fennelpaw.."

Breezekit had not been able to sleep, thoughts and feelings had kept her awake as she felt out of it because all her friends and family were apprentices and she was not yet. She missed everyone.
She also was being plagued by nightmares, nightmares of darkness and water - which she was afriad of - and didn't want to sleep in case they came back.

She jumped, letting out a small noise of surprise and fear as a familiar voice meowed her name and gently touched her.

"Huh? Oh, Fennelpaw?" She meowed, getting over her shock and a smile spread over her features. "Yeah, I'm awake. By the way." She pulled herself up into a sitting position and blinked her glowing green eyes at him, amazed he had come to see her.
