The Lamia.
While some fear zombies, zombies were not what brought the world to it's knees. A genetic outbreak, creating human-reptile hybrids known as Lamia, mindless beasts with a venomous and contagious bite, shook earth to it's core and drove the human race to near extinction. Now, a millennia later, nature and Her magics have reclaimed the Earth, leaving few survivors.
One of the largest surviving populations of humans live in what was once Portland, Maine, carving out whatever meager lives they can, foraging and defending themselves against the mindless beasts that flock to their doors with the sole intent of killing, and at times, each other. Now as a darker force looms, the Lamia swarms mysteriously growing more numerous and increasingly dangerous, how long can this power struggle continue?
