Finnick could deal with the hunger. He could deal with the cold. He could even deal with the stinging pain of an infected cut, raked across his pride and joy, that gleaming bronze pelt of his. He could deal with all of that.
But it had been over three moons since he's even seen the sea, and that was something he definitely could not deal with. It wasn't even homesickness, it was the pure, unadulterated longing of the salt against his fur, the rocking of the water as he dove among the waves. To him, there was really no other place for him, and it didn't help that wherever he had ended up was as far away from the shore as you could get, with rolling hills, plains, and meadows. The hint of some woods somewhere in the horizon, but that wasn't helpful either. He sighed, but caught himself when his ears twitched at the pawsteps of another cat.
He dropped his eyelids alluringly, as he always did in the presence of another cat, and meowed a greeting.
"Hello there."

Loki sat amongst the green, swaying grasses of the plains, his ears picking up the sounds of scuddling paws, the flapping of wings, the brush of the grass against each other, and the gentle rustle of leaves in the soft breeze. His eyes were closed as she observed with his ears, until the scent of another cat hit his noise, and the smell of something long and forgotten came with it. The hint of the sea, Loki could smell the salt on this cat's coat, even if it wasn't at all fresh. He was temporarily reminded of his home, which had indeed been nearly surrounded by a large sea, but shook the thought off as his green eyes opened about halfway, and he flicked them to his left, searching for the stranger. His gaze landed on a bronze pelt, and then Loki stood, as the stranger was not looking his way. He padded softly, but not all that silently, toward the new cat, wanting them to know he was approaching. Though the thought of sneaking up on them was amusing, he did not feel like a prank this day. He hadn't played a prank in a long while, and he actually wondered if he still had it in him. He would test that hypothesis soon enough... one day he would pull a prank on a cat once more. For now, however, he had to deal with the cat before him, who had already given a greeting and quite the amusing face, or at least, Loki believed it was amusing. "Hello," was Loki's response, his slightly deep voice and obvious British accent showing his elegance as he looked at the stranger, maybe a little judgingly, though he was not judging. ### © to Vel

This stranger, whoever, he was, seemed immune to his charms. God, he always got one of those every once in a while. Those were the toughest nuts to crack.
His sea-green eyes flashed as he took in the cat, ear flicking at the sound of the accent. The tone of the cat was perhaps a little judging, but Finnick was self-assured enough to not mind, still training his eyes on the cat.
"Wherever might you be from?" he meowed lightly, giving a deep blink.

Loki found this cat was trying to figure him out already, and did not seem overly satisfied by the fact Loki had not been all smiles back. "I come from a land you would not know of, so I do not think it is worth mentioning." He then paused a second, before asking the same of the cat before him. 62 © to Vel

"I'm... from the sea."
Not literally, of course, he wasn't some sort of cat-fish mutant, but he might as well have spent his whole life (up to that point) in the water. No matter where he went, the fresh scent of sea salt clung to his bronze fur, and his dreams were always filled with the sensation of waves dancing around him.
"Are the cats around here... all like you?" he asked with a faint raise of one eyebrow. God, he wouldn't be able to take it if everyone around here was immune to his charms. He might as well just pick himself up and carry himself back over to the ocean.
He was, very much so, an attention seeker.

The sea... just as Loki had predicted. It was as he thought, as the cat smelled of the salt of the ocean. This was a smell Loki knew, once again, living quite close to one in his homeland. Yet, that sea was different. It was calm, mostly, and had many waterfalls, unlike nearly all seas on this earth. It was unique. Loki smiled at the cat's question. "Oh no. There are no other cats like me. They may think they come close, but no." There were those select few who tried to figure the black tom out, then compare their own selves to him, but they never succeeded. He was entirely unique, just like the sea from his homeland. 121 © to Vel

His question brought on a smile on the tom's face. Why, he wasn't sure, but he wasn't about to ask. The tom kind of creeped him out, or at least intimidated him.
"Wonderful. Great to know my charms won't be wasted here," he meowed, looking the tom up and down curiously. From somewhere he would not know of, an accent to his voice and a slightly judging gaze. Finnick had never come across one like him.

"Though you can't survive simply through charms," Loki responded, giving advice to the younger cat. "This world will try to destroy you, each cat will try to see how far they can get before they push you over the edge. You will not be able to wiggle out of it simply through charms." 55 i dont even know what he's saying.. © to Vel

hahaha that's fine I have no idea what Finnick's doing either...
Flashing green eyes blinked, slightly taken aback. That was the first time anyone had ever completely shut down his charms, and honestly, he wasn't used to it at all. His tongue passed over sharp white teeth as he flicked the tip of his tail.
"Unfortunately, that's about all I've got going for myself right now," he meowed lightly.

"Really?" Finnick was surprised. The tom before him was tall, charming, quite a looker if he said so himself. His father always told him that cats like that were the ones who got everything they wanted in life. The strength in his green eyes wavered for a second, before he regained his composure.
"Nothing? No friends, no loved ones, not even an association with someone, an alliance?"

Loki let out a charming little smile, and a nice, small laugh. "I am not one to maintain friends. They always elude me, I cannot seem to keep them. Now, I do have a brother and sister, yet my sister hates my guts at the moment, and my brother... I'm not to sure about him." Loki swooped his eyes away from the cat in front of him, off to the right. They became slightly hooded as his smile dropped from his face, and he seemed to be thinking. 90 same though © to Vel
