@luc
Addie had plenty of time to appreciate the release of expectations, the freedom of knowing that every choice was her's, and to live without the pressure of avoiding and tolerating her siblings even as they sought to tear her down. She was free from the ill choices of her's that plagued her past.
Yet... Something was missing. She felt better, yes... But she had yet to feel... Good. She wasn't quite sure she knew what it felt like to be really happy. There was always something weighing her down. She sighed.
As of right now... She wandered the plains aimlessly. True, she had her freedom. Then again... She didn't feel like she had much of a purpose. She was directionless. She didn't have much to do other than explore and hunt, and it felt... Lacking, somewhat. As she was thinking over the many troublesome things ailing her, she failed to watch where she was going and bumped into someone.
"A-Ah! I'm sorry..." She quickly said.

(Sorry sorry sorry, I thought I'd already responded.)
Luc carefully walked out of his "den," a reused twoleg house, and was careful not to run into any of the foxes that seemed to be abundant there as he slipped out and into the forest. He lived in the Twolegplace, but was in no way a kittypet. He wasn't hand fed, and he was completely willing to bite a hand if it fed him. He was good with the kittypets, though in truth they bored him. They were so... predictable. Then again, so we're wild cats. Both were so stubbornly opinionated, mostly against each other. He himself stood 50 50 on the arguments between them. Wild cats could fend for themselves and all, so that was a point for them, however kittypets were so much harder to scare in their own domain. If a wildcat went into the Twolegplace, they would be avoiding the dogs and the twolegs. A kittypet, however, was willing to adapt more. They had a different mindset because they didn't have to be stubborn and untrusting in order to survive. He himself was in between. He played both sides. If he was given the option to change, he wouldn't. One single side was to boring.
Arriving at the plains, it wasn't that long before a cat bumped into him. "It's alright," he said, giving a smile.

((It's alright.))
Addie's don't trust anyone mindset had been hammered into her, more or less at birth. In light of her entire family being horrible beyond imagining, she'd understandably developed some severe trust issues that only escalated as she grew and matured. Combined with her more or less burning down her only friendships, and the fact that she legally dead in her place of birth... Plus the whole new identity thing... Addie's whole everything wasn't conducive to forming new, healthy, and positive relationships. Not that she was interested in it. At the most, she would express interest in gaining allies such as Loki. However, that was it. That was where she drew the line.
Right now, she was wandering around the plains, when she suddenly bumped into someone. The cat's immediate response was to be kind. She looked to the cat she bumped into. She faked a smile. Not that anyone would be able to tell it wasn't genuine. "Yeah, yeah. Hope I didn't hurt you with my little bump."

Luc resisted the urge to role her eyes. It wasn't that he could read through the smile, but he knew from experience that it was fake. He went along with it though, not in the mood to get in a fight with this cat about how real a simple smile was. If he wanted to get into a fight, it would be over something with a purpose. Until then, he found it best to make allies who would help him when it did come down to a fight.
Luc shook his head at her words. "Nope. It was as much your fault as mine. Are you alright?" he asked.
(My muse is slipping.)

((Wild cats never smile ;D
Addie's smile rested into a friendly, if more passive expression. "I'm fine." She lied through her teeth. Physically, she was fine. She wasn't hurt by this cat. In general? She had never been fine and she wasn't even sure what fine was, so she doubted she'd know what being fine was even if it slapped her in the face.

(He knows that and reacts by calling them predictable)
Luc nodded, "Sure. Now do you want to tell me how you really feel or should I just let that pass?" he asked. He wasn't acctually certain the cat was lying, but knowing wildcats he was willing to bet she was. He was also willing to bet she would either say 'no,' or 'what do you mean?'

Addie dropped her smile in a flash, and her face relaxed into something apathetic. She still didn't convey much of anything real in her expression. She tilted her head. "You're a stranger. Why should I tell you anything meaningful about myself? I don't know if you're kind. If you're cruel. If you're somewhere in between. I don't know if you'll help me. I don't know if you'll hurt me. I don't know you." She emphasized her last statement.
