SpeckflameCloudskip wasn't one to leave camp often. When she did, she was often hunting. This time was different. The snow white deputy slowly made her way across the fields of the territory. A chilly wind blew through the she-cat's fur, but she paid it no mind. She just kept walking. A pit started to form in her stomach, ready to turn back and sleep in the warriors den. Cloudskip ignored the thought, focusing on her breathing as she continued to make her way towards a small tree. As soon as she spotted it's branches, she knew she was too far to turn back. She hadn't visited this place for a while, and she might as well now. The white she-cat stopped at the foot of the tree. In front of her paws lied a large flat stone with a flower placed under it. She blinked, staring at it in silence. She wouldn't have noticed anyone that was near. "Hey Mom. How are you?" Cloudskip purred, as if she was expecting in answer. She was merely greeted with the silence and the appearance of another cat.

(when you just find out Silver is dead, and your heart breaks. Tbh, Cloud should seek out Pinyondapple, since Pinyo is technically her half-sister, and they could greive or something *shrugs*)
Quietly, Speckflame approached. He was just rounding the corner of the camp wall to the tunnel entrance when Cloudskip had appeared, a beautiful plume of white that went streaking off into FireClan's prairie. His heart had stopped for a moment, before he went to follow, keeping up a casual pace behind her. But when she stopped before a flat stone, which held down a flower from the prairie's strong, bitter wind... Speckflame lost his playful and happy mood. This was a grave. And when he stepped closer, tiptoeing in the knowledge that this place and moment was sacred to his love, that was when he learned of whose grave it was.
Silverwhisker. Cloudskip's mother.
He remembered sitting at her vigil. The senior warrior and former queen had been bitten by an adder, a horrible way to go to CloudClan. And Cloudskip had been there to see it....
Walking up to stand beside his mate, Speckflame stared softly, and respectfully, down to the grave before him. "Hello, Silverwhisker." he added, very softly, as he didn't want to startle his best friend. After a pause, he sent the FireClan deputy a quick glance. "Just wanted to say hi too, but I can give you two a minute if you'd like, Echo."

((Grieving babiesss. But yeah, I was semi-yelling/crying at Jc for it on Xat.
"Mom. I love you."
The memories of her kithood filled her head, her time with her mother had been wonderful. All her life, the deputy had been supported by the queen, and now she was gone. The dead body of Silverwhisker flashed in her brain, along with the adder. A voice murmured beside her, startling the she-cat. Cloudskip quickly relaxed as she realized it was her mate. She hadn't seen him in forever, where had he been!?
Cloudskip's gaze didn't seem fazed in the slightest, but her eyes were just a mask of the emotions brewing in her head. She slowly shook her head. "... No, you can stay... It's nice to see you again." She murmured, leaning onto Speckflame's shoulder. It was nice, having someone beside her. At least she knew that not everybody was gone from her life.

o(╥﹏╥)o a part of me refuses to believe she is really dead}
Speckflame felt a soft purr rumble in his chest as Cloudskip leaned into him, and he twisted to leave a quick lick on her forehead, before shifting so they were both comfortable. The wind was cold, as leaf-fall was upon them already, and he enjoyed the heat his mate gave off. And Speckflame hoped that he offered at least a bit of comfort while she grieved.
Speckflame didn't know the queen personally, but he knew she had a good heart, and was a great edition to FireClan. And he wasn't just saying that. Silverwhisker would be missed by many, and certainly by those who were close to her. His regret was never being one of those cats.
"Nice to see you as well, Cloud. Sorry I disappeared for a bit." he apologized, still in a quiet voice. It still made him happy that his best friend and love was still here waiting for him, no matter how many times he stepped off the face of the earth.

((RIP
Cloudskip smiled weakly as she sat with her mate. A cold chill ran through her, though it was faint. She licked Speckflame on the cheek, and returned to staring at the grave. She felt a lot more comfortable here with company rather than being alone. She had a shoulder to cry on if needed.
"... It's okay, Spark. I'm just glad you're here." She sighed quietly, glancing to the side. "I haven't had anyone to talk to... Everyone I've known has disappeared. I know Fangshadow is probably gone grieving, but Foxbite... He doesn't even know..." She sighed, lowering her ears.

Speckflame closed his eyes in thought. Fangshadow would be Silverwhisker's mate. He couldn't imagine how the warrior was dealing with the death of someone he loved very much. And Foxbite, well, Speckflame had never personally met the tomcat. Though Cloudskip cared about him, and thus, he worried too how her brother would take the news.
"I'm here now." he sais gently. "And this is where I'll stay."

Cloudskip smiled as Speckflame spoke. There was about a minute of silence before the deputy spoke again. "Good, you big dork. It's been too quiet without you." She tried to lighten up the mood. The she-cat broke away from her mate and gave him a weak, but childish smile. She took one glance at her mother's grave before breaking off into the meadow. She rolled down the small hill, her white fur picking up dirt and grass.

Speckflame laughed at her words, and although his heart tugged at the weak smile he was given, at least she was smiling at all. So when she took off across the prairie of FireClan, the ginger tomcat was quick to follow, bubbling with laughter as he did. He thundered down the hill as well, sharing the same FireClan speed and balance to keep up and not trip on his way, chasing after Cloudskip.

(([Stares at dead writing muse] Screw itttt
Cloudskip laughed as she soon came to a stop, now just lying in the grass. She looked like a snowy bush with all the dirt and grass that clung to her fur. The deputy watched as her mate bolted down the hill as well. When he reached the point where she was, she laughed and stood up. "So how have you actually been lately?"
