Flutterkit ((just the song i'm listening to rn lawl)) Frostkit stood over her sister's Flutterkit's sleeping body. She'd woken up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep, and she'd gotten bored. It wasn't like she hadn't tried to get back to sleep, she'd tried laying down again and closing her eyes. It didn't really work, not even when she tried to move herself around to get more comfortable. So, here she was. Nothing to do, and Flutterkit had just been the closest of her siblings. She started poking Flutterkit in the shoulder. "Flutterkit. Flutterkit. Flutterkit." She repeated her sister's name in hushed whispers over and over again, apparently not stopping until the she-kit woke up.

Flutterkit twitched in her sleep, shifting over onto her side. It had been like that all night, and yet when her sisters aggravating whispers broke the silence, she had no intentions of getting up. Just because she couldn't sleep didn't mean she wasn't tired. So, she continued to keep her eyes close and pretend she was sleeping.
But of course, Frostkit wouldn't stop.
"What do you want, Frostkit?" She turned over so she was facing her sister, peeling open her blue eyes, waiting for them to adjust to the darkness. Despite the fact that she had been annoyed moments ago, she quickly became interested.
What could Frostkit possible want in the middle of the night?

((So I see Flutterkit inherited the crankiness and temper
Frostkit immediately had a look of hurt. "I'm just kind of lonely... No one else is awake this early, and I can never get back to sleep!" She chirped as softly as she could, trying not to earn the ire of anyone else. She hoped Flutterkit didn't suddenly hate her for this.
The terrible thought was horrible! She didn't want to be hated! She was saddened by the idea of Flutterkit never talking to her again or anything similar! Though, it seemed her sister wasn't so mad as before.

(Ye, I figured since she didn't look anything like her mom, she could atleast have some of her personality traits.)
Flutterkit could have easily snapped at her sister with a sassy retort, although hearing that she was lonely...
If it had been anyone else, Flutterkit would have pummelled them.
Heaving out a sigh and trying to shake off any anger boiling inside of her, she clambered onto her small paws. "Okay fine, I'll hang out with you. What do you want to do, anyways? There's not a whole lot to do at moonhigh."

Frostkit shrugged. "I... I dunno. I just don't like being alone. It's too quiet." She murmured softly in return. She was glad that Flutterkit didn't seem mad, and seemed fine with hanging out with Frostkit. Flutterkit was such a good sibling, she reached forward and rested her head against Flutterkit's chest.
((i dunno what to write tbh

Flutterkit nearly pulled away as Frostkit placed her head on her chest, uncomfortable with the physical contact. Though, she didn't want to offend her, and it was her sister after all. She playfully swatted at her ears, stretching out her front legs. "Let's get out of the nursery then, so we don't have to whisper."
(Meh, I'm just going with the flow)

Frostkit didn't notice Flutterkit's discomfort. She simply nodded into her sister's chest fur, and finally pulled her head away. The edges of her eyes glistened faintly with tears. She sniffled and wiped away the dots of tears with a paw. "Mmkay..." She murmured softly.
((oh would you look at that frostkit is actually a normal child that craves physical affection and is not a socially awkward weirdo like me

(What a strange surprise. And oh look at that Flutterkit is awkward with physical contact and doesn't know how to act around others, just like me)
Flutterkit was about to step out of the nursery, though it didn't take long for her to notice Frostkit wiping away... a tear? She tensed awkwardly.
Should she pretend she didn't notice?
Seemed easy enough.
Flutterkit draped her tail over Frostkits shoulders, which she almost found difficult, seeing as she was in fact smaller. Once they had gotten outside, Flutterkit took a big breath of air and flopped down onto her back. "It's way better out here." She commented, hoping to start a conversation.

((yeah, normally my characters are super weird about touch like i am. I've gotten better in recent years but still. My characters tend to be perceptive cos gosh I need to read everything and write a response man. IRL I am crap at noticing literally any body language ever
Frostkit was pretty sure Flutterkit didn't notice the tears. Totally nailed it. She flashed a small smile at the voluntary touch that Flutterkit initiated. She followed her sister out into the air, and flopped down next to her sister. "Yeah, fresh air's pretty great." She purred. "I like breezes and windy days."

Flutterkit smiled, feeling a sense of comfort within her sisters presence. "Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be a loner?" She let the question slip out slowly, in a hum of sorts. She had thought about the life of a loner often. It was simply a concept she couldn't grasp yet.
(My muse dies a little bit more every day I go to school)

((*nods sagely*
Frostkit blinked at the odd question, though it didn't make her feel much. Admittedly, she thought of what-ifs a lot. She guessed it made sense Flutterkit thought up some herself. She shrugged. "I guess it's kind of like... Being born an adult. Unless you have loner parents too. I think it's just... Like staying up and never getting to sleep, except there's no promise that everyone will wake up and join you. No scents to even comfort you."

Flutterkit took time to think about her sisters response, eyeing all the separate stars. "...I guess so. There's kind of a sense of freedom, too. Don't you think? No responsibilities, nobody to tell you what to do, no clan rules your forced to live by. Plus, they aren't forced to beleive in some dumb 'Cloudclan'." She snorted in amusement.

Frostkit shrugged. "I mean... But you're also all on your lonesome. If you fall, there's no one to catch you." She looked at Flutterkit seriously. "I believe. I just don't think they're as wise as they say. If they're cats who have died... I'd just guess there cats who already lived their lives. They're... Kind of like elders you can only see when you dream. Elders don't know everything, right?"

Flutterkit listened to Frostkit talk, all the while counting as many stars as she could. There were just.. so many, just sitting up there. Did they even have a purpose?
Did she?
Flutterkit focused back in on the conversation. "It's way too unrealistic. Can you really believe that you can see dead cats in your dreams?" The question sounded rather judging.

Frostkit shrugged. "We might not have proof that Cloudclan exists." Then she eyed Flutterkit seriously. "But we don't have any proof that they don't. I guess it's really just up to you if you believe or not." She reasoned. "I don't think the realism of it is the point. I think... I think the point is the believing part."
