zalmoxes was a bad boy. he was oh so very edgy and cool for joining the so-called 'DeathClan'. at least, that's what he thought in that self-centered mind of his. as soon as he heard about the group of ragtag thugs, he knew that it was perfect for him. was he good at hunting? kinda. was he good at fighting? kinda. was he intimidating enough to be in this band of outlaws?
pft. no.
but he could always learn, and learn he shall.
in the meantime though, he wandered through 'his' new territory, cursing the ground that muddied his paws as he searched for another deathclan member, maybe to show him the ropes.

Sky was playing down openly on Deathclan's 'camp' grounds, clearly displaying that she was unafraid of anyone attacking her, despite her obvious blindness. Appearances meant everything in the life she has chosen. If you look weak, you're dead.
The smell of another cat caught her attention, and she lifted her head boredly. It was a newcomer, that much she knew. She didn't say anything to alert the cat, unsure if it would pass her by or not.

zalmoxes stopped walking as he spotted someone that didn't catch his eye before, it was a she-cat. obviously older than him, with a really pretty calico coat. from her scent he could tell she was a fellow deathclanner, so it would be beneficial to talk to her. but as he cautiously approached, he noticed something.
This chick ain't got no eyes.
that was a little bit off putting. the first cat he's met in this new group and it's a cat with no eyes. Like, she ain't just blind, those are scratched out. Holy heckle, is that normal here?! No, Zalmoxes. You must not make such assumptions, be nice. You must respect the woman.
"Hello there, are you in DeathClan?" he said calmly, glad that she couldn't see the unease that made his pelt twitch. "I'm new, so I don't know anyone yet."

Sky could sense the unease. She could feel it, nestling in his pelt, infiltrating the air and diseasing every breath he took. It was a common emotion, and from what she assumed, he wasn't used to such... gruesome appearances.
"What's your name, kid?" She nearly spat the words at him, aggravated at his politeness. It was better for him and her if he learned quickly that niceness got you no where in Deathclan.

zalmoxes' ears flattened back as the cat suddenly spat at him, infuriated. Well that was rude. Guess I should expect that from a group called 'DeathClan', and she certainly looks like a seasoned warrior... Maybe I can actually learn something here. the unease started to ebb away, but still lingered slightly, keeping his form relaxed and unmoving.
if this is how conversation started here, he would adapt.
"Zalmoxes." he replied, his tone completely shifting from nervous to flat. "Or Zax for short. What's your name?" I swear if it's something like Scar Eyes or Rake Face I'm going to laugh... Okay, probably not laugh. She still looks like she can make me blind as well.

Zalmoxes? Geez, this kid would not survive with a name like that. Though, Sky had some hope for him. His tone became rather flat, and he seemed to adjust fast to the change in pace for the conversation.
"Well, Mox, you can call me Sky." She said Mox, not because she thought it was cooler, but because she kinda hoped it would annoy him. She hasn't planned on telling him her real name, but she didn't think it would do much harm.

Sky... Kind of a plain name. zalmoxes always liked how his name sounded, complex and totally weird. he might be made fun of for it, but it didn't bother him. what did kinda bother him however is when she said 'Mox,'. now that was clearly said to annoy him, and to be honest it did kinda tweak his fur a little. when zax got annoyed, he developed a nervous flick in his ear.
so he's standing there, awkward as a newborn horse, with one ear rapidly flicking like it was having a seizure. he hoped nobody else was watching this.
"I'm guessing you've been 'round here a long time, could you maybe give me a few tips liiiiike how to not get my head ripped off in my first few days?"
