Shadowpaw, I'm so sorry for not getting to this earlier and for the shortness. Snowwhisper awoke in a bit of a frenzy. She had had so many duties as Medicine cat apprentice that she had forgotten to train her apprentices. She quickly prepared herself for the day, then went and called for Shadowpaw and waited for her apprentice by the freashkill pile.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw awoke to the sound of her name. She yawned and hopped out of the apprentices' den and bolted to her mentor, wide awake now. She was excited to train again. Good morning, she greeted.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Morning! Okay, I will be right back. Shadowpaw raced to the fresh kill pile and picked out a fish from the top. She sat down
near to her mentor and started eating. Once she finished, she quickly washed up and hopped back to Snowwhisper.

Snowwhisper nodded once Shadowpaw was done. ”Today I’m going to teach you to hunt. It’s a very basic skill so we may have extra time to work on your fighting.” she said, heading out into the territory. ”To begin with, how do you think you’re supposed to hunt?”

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw followed her mentor excitedly, and took a deep breath to relax herself and force her fur to lie flat. Quietly, and keeping an eye on everything? She stuck close to Snowwhisper, making sure she memorized all of the places they passed.

Snowwhisper nodded. ”Yes, but try to keep your rain still behind you so it doesn’t break any branches.” she said. ”After that you will want to walk forward, making sure your stomach doesn’t brush against the ground, and then you pounce.” she added, once again demonstrating.

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Ok, so... Shadowpaw mimicked Snowwhisper and crouched down. She crept forward, careful of her footing, and made her tail lay still behind her. She kept a small distance beneath her stomach, and crept forward, careful to not break any leaves or twigs. She pounced forward, landing square on a leaf. Her paw was at an awkward angle, for she tried to keep her balance, but she kept her eyes on the leaf and picked it up, turning to Snowwhisper.

Snowwhisper nodded. ”Very good. You will get better with practice, and that landing is something you’ll probably just have to worry on. Try bending your legs a little right before you land though. “

"NELLA FANTASIA IO VEDO UN MONDO GUISTO" Shadowpaw nodded and crouched down once again. She crouched down and started again, this time paying close attention to her paws. She landed better than last time, bending her legs to absorb shock of the landing.
