I've wasted time, I've wasted breath
Cali yawned, her eyes instinctively closing as she opened them into the bright morning sun. A chill bit the morning air, and it took a bit of effort to force herself away from the warmth of her nest. She did though, determined to hunt down Loki and talk to him away from the innocent ears of Cloudy. She got up, imeadiatly regretting her desision. It was cold that morning, and it was almost not worth it. But her brother was one of the cats that she cared for more than her own life, and she could tell something was wrong. She had to find him and help him. Her jaw set in determination to brave the day so early and she slipped out of the den quietly, careful not to startle the calm, sleeping form of Cloudy. She was struck once again by how much youthful innocence he had, even if he didn't seem to recognize it himself.
The grass had a layer of due on it from the night before, and she was careful to walk silently and not let her paws crunch against the crisp grass with each step. It didn't take long for her to find a trail and she followed it swiftly and with ease. She had been great at tracking as a kid, but that skill had been improved upon until it surpassed everyone she had previously met. It was one of many such skills that she had sculpted over the moons.
Her attention was, however, drawn away by the sound of footfalls. They were quite faint, as though from one who wasn't fully paying attention to steps but had practice in hiding any signs of them being near by. She smirked and continued on her trail, not caring to deal with someone lost in thought.
Continuing on her trail, Cali was brought to a stop as she rammed into another cat. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she said, ducking her head in embarrassment. There she was chosing not to deal with a cat lost in thought while being lost in thought herself. She was truly one of a kind. "I was trying to track someone down and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings.
