Loki ((Took a while to get this up, sorry. Also ack I need to get back to her personality's roots. She went weird at some point idek))Addie preferred her days and night relatively unhaunted by dead great-grandmothers. After that.... Weird episode.... Things returned back to normal. She hadn't seen any of her fox-hearted siblings, nor had any ghosts returned to criticize her life decisions in her dreams. She kind of preferred it this way.
Honestly, she was a tiny bit angry about it. She was a bit surprised she still had such capacity for anger. Was there an end to the endless whirlwind of negativity that seemed to make up half of Addie's personality? She doubted it. But.... Honestly, she didn't like the whole criticism. She didn't hate Fireclan, but she couldn't take it anyone to be lonely with anger surrounding her. Mudclaw's... Friendship had helped somewhat but mostly she'd felt as if she'd been drowning in hatred and grief.
That and her own terrible decisions. Like her decision to tear Willowspirit apart everytime she saw her. Like her decision to cut Mudclaw out of her life the first time. Like her decision to fake her death and probably cause at least Mudclaw grief.
She'd convinced herself that no one else cared. Aloepaw hadn't seemed to care. He didn't seem to be too bothered that she was actually alive, only seemingly irked that she had the idea of running away first.
Enough of her fox-dung thoughts, Addie yawned as she curled up beside a bush out on the plains. Honestly, she needed to remember how to relax and just.... Forget everything. Well, not remember. She needed to learn. Learn how to let go. She had a problem with sinking her claws in and not letting go.

Loki prowled through the plains, pushing through the stormcloud of thoughts and memories that constantly swirled around him. He lived in the guilt, in the pain, in the rejection. It was ongoing, it never stopped. He had simply learned to live through it, to be one with it, to hide it when needed and use it when it was necessary. These emotions had become a useful tool to him, and he didn't think about letting them go. His sleek, thin black sides slid through the grass of the plains when his sharp, green eyes caught movement. Stopping and turning his head, he caught glimpse of a golden pelt, and a sly smile slid onto his face. When he padded silently over to the cat, he noticed she was circled up and ready to fall asleep. Ah... he wouldn't allow that. Loki could instantly tell she was tense. It was obvious she was holding onto something, and it was eating her alive. "You better hide that heart of yours, my lady Adaline. It won't lead you anywhere you want to go." 185 // ooh feeling classy © to Vel

Addie snorted. "A lady? Me? I think you need better eyes, Loki." She commented. "As for my heart.... Well... It's lead me here, and I don't mind where I am too much." It was her past and where she'd been that she needed to let go of.
Regardless, she lifted herself to her full height. Loki seems to project a layer of calm and faint amusement. She had to wonder how much of it was a mask. Was it odd she didn't quite trust someone to be genuinely friendly? If someone could call Loki that. He wasn't openly antagonistic from what she'd seen, but he didn't exactly radiate cute and cuddly either.

"Oh but if you are not a lady," Loki started, continuing on his tale of kingdoms and castles and disregarding what else she had said after, "then that would make you a commoner." A sly smile slid onto his face, before he closed his eyes dramatically and placed a paw on his forehead, tipping onto his back in the grass, until he stretched himself into a half circle, his back legs loose and his front split and reaching out. His head angled toward her and his green eyes flashed open. "A commoner in the presence of a prince! They weren't allowed to set foot into the palace, much less make conversation with a price," Loki stated dramatically, before the smile flashed on his face once more. He got onto his feet quickly and elegantly, before continuing his story. "But the prince loved his people. Without them, his kingdom would only be made of guards and servants." He turned and leaped gracefully on a rock that had been before both of them, planting his two front feet together and his back two separated. "He was to be their saviour, the king they always wanted, the rightful heir to the throne of Odin." Loki slowly turned his face back to Adaline, his green eyes bright. He slid off the rock like a snake would, his back legs squashed under him as his front slid to the ground. Then, he began to walk around her. "Do you believe in myths, Addie?" He asked, coming around her back. "Do you believe in the legends of time?" He came around her, turning to face her as his green eyes bore into hers. 279 © to Vel

As Loki began, Addie began to make a face. Was he going to start monologuing? Was he going to just get lost deep in thought and be all around generally irritating. She stared blankly as he began his dramatic, decreeing her a commoner. Seriously, his dramatics were a little much, like he was testing out a really new, really dumb hunting technique. She.... Didn't know what to make of this side of Loki, and honestly.... She was starting to wish she hadn't seen it. It was really.... Really.... Weird.
He started going on and on about princes and commoners, flashing a smile. Addie couldn't help the slight grimace, before forcing her expression back into a blank stare. Oh boy, she was starting to get a feeling that Loki was giving her the prelude to his tragic backstory. She guessed maybe it was on his mind because the tragedy was either powerful, or currently biting him in the rear repeatedly. Or at least recently. All in all, this sounded like a grand 'ol tale of..... Honestly, she wasn't that interested in hearing it. Jeez, she doubted Loki was that special. He was still a huge weirdo in her books.
Addie stared at him. "No." She said. "I think they're just stories. Maybe they were based on real events, but they're just.... Caricatures." She said.
((wow good thing loki cant read minds

Loki sat back in front of her, never looking thinner than he did at that moment. His hauches, as well as his shoulderblades, shown through his skin, and his stomach was tight and ever the small thing. Though, his muscles were still visible, however lean. "Interesting," he said, his green eyes flicking away, before coming back. "I can see the doubt in your eye." 66 // lol, or can he? Sorry short and late and had to go to bed xD © to Vel

Except, there was doubt in Adaline's heart. For these sorts of things, she was rather the stubborn type. Actually, she could be rather stubborn in many aspects, but this in particular. She saw Loki's words as a manipulation, a dig to try and push her around, guiding her mind where he wanted it to.
So, she just kept staring at him. "Well, then you've gone crazy in your malnutrition and are seeing things." She pointed with a paw. "I swear, I can see and count your ribs."
((addie just replies with insults also help i have a problem because addie is smarter than me but how you do rp someone whose smarter than you

Loki let a smile slip onto his black muzzle, and lifted his chin ever so slightly, barely narrowing his green eyes. "Ooh," he let the word slide out of his mouth like smooth water. He seemed in complete control of the situation, untouchable even as insults were thrown at him. He was either overly confident, or hubristic. He let his chin fall and his eyes further narrow, his smile spreading slightly. The tom looked straight into this cat's eyes, peering into her soul. He said nothing, letting the silence settle like a blanket of discomfort, his long, black tail flicking. "Adaline, you do not know me, and I may not no you, so lets not act like it." He stood elegantly and turned. "Go ahead and drown in your own problems. If you think they'll simply disappear if you try hard enough, think again." Flicking his head quickly, he began to walk away, his gait, as usual, long and graceful. He did not know if she would follow, but for some reason, he felt she would. If not, they're path had not diverged yet, and they would be seeing each other again soon. 195 // not meaning to end the thread but if you'd like it to... © to Vel

The narrowing of Loki's eyes did not go unnoticed by Adaline. Despite the black-furred tom's lack of response... Addie wasn't really fazed by his lack of response. She was fairly used to screaming into the abyss and never getting a response back. She'd tried to argue with her siblings after all, to no avail. So really, Loki's creepy smile was new but not really something worth making any expression over. Addie's expression remained fairly deadpan and unimpressed by Loki's antics.
She met Loki's eyes straight back, a gaze of green meeting one just like it, without backing down. Another defining trait of her wonderfully aggressive at times personality, was how stubborn she was.
Addie shrugged. "We don't know each other. But I don't need to know who you are or where you've been to see that you've let yourself go." Then she shrugged and she only smiled. "My problems are with other cats. They won't change. So... I guess my problems are going to follow me around like ghosts for as long as I remember them." She tilted her head. "How many ghosts are looking over your shoulder, Loki?" She asked idly.
As Loki began to walk away, Addie did as well, in the opposite direction.
((I guess this is the end. You wanna try again or have it on hold or something...? also wow im too lazy to color code rn
