Calista ((My thread titles can range from cool/poetic to just dumb.)) Addie realized she needed to figure some things out if she was going to... Try and use her life as a loner to leave everything behind her. She needed to know who she wanted to be. She didn't want to be hurt again, that much was true. She wasn't sure she wanted to make more friends. That seemed a little dangerous. However, she didn't want to make too many enemies. She wanted... To be free and unrestrained by emotional burdens. The physical never seemed to matter as much to the tabby.
So she guessed... She needed to remember she was running in every sense of the word. Leave everything behind in the past, where it belongs. These were the thoughts running through Addie's mind as she lay on her back in the grass. Not that it was most comfortable, as the grass died and became brittle and cold. Leaf-bare was cruel and indiscriminate in who it sunk its icy claws into.
She yawned.

I've wasted time, I've wasted breath Calista slipped out of her den. It was a nice day, if you were a complete liar or it was Opposite Day. It was freezing and the grass as covered in frost. The cold itself didn’t bother her, but the crisp air wasn’t good for her lungs, and it brought way to many illnesses. At least it wasn’t snowing though. The sun was out and that made it a bit better, though there were some pretty heavy clouds setting in. She wouldn’t be surprised if it did snow soon.
Sighing, she checked that Cloudy was soundly asleep before she left, making her way to a creek that still had a few water voles around it. She still had enough to get by for another day, but making it through winter with Cloudy? It was tight. She would have to hope that the animals didn’t disappear so soon as they ussually did.
Calista stopped her worrying when she sensed that another cat was nearby. ”Hello?” she asked, glancing around to see if she could locate the cat.
Sorry, I got caught up in that life thing that I always joke about having. (Or maybe it was a marathon of Supernatural and Doctor Who. It’s a bit fuzzy) template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Addie wasn't the fluffiest cat around. So, she was kinda cold. Mostly because it was cold. She didn't like it was when it was too cold or too hot. She liked it best in the middle, the optimum temperature for working. Otherwise, you were shivering or sluggish. Still... This is what she to deal with. At least there wasn't two feet of snow to deal with. Besides, she didn't really have to hunt right now, having eaten and suffered through cold hunting earlier.
So, she wandered the plains, which is what she did when she was bored. Sometimes she'd poke around and wander into Twolegplace or the Canyon out of curiosity, but mostly she stayed in the plains. She found her way to a creek and she poked her paw in. She wondered why the water was always so much colder than the air. Perhaps the water trapped cold in it. Hm.....
Then Addie notices there was another by the creek. A black and white tabby she-cat. Then Addie was noticed in turn, greeted by uncertainty. Addie rose to her paws, from where she was crouched by the creek. She walked over and sat down next to the stranger. "Hi." She said, without bothering to raise or lower her voice to indicate any preference towards friendliness or hostility. Honestly, she wasn't interested in being friendly, but she wasn't sure she would make an enemy out of the she-cat before her.

I've wasted time, I've wasted breath Cali spotted the other cat near the creek and gave a smile that matched the cat's tone: neutral. It had honestly been a while since she had interacted with any cat other than Loki and Cloudy. She didn't really care much, but it was nice to see a new face. Then again, new faces weren't always good. The familiar was usually safer, but the familiar had it's downside too. She honestly wasn't sure how much longer she could put up with the familiar, so she decided she'd rather make this cat a friend than an enemy.
"I'm Calista." she said as a more sure greeting than her original, letting any signs of a threat be averted from her voice and replacing it with something more along the lines of friendliness.
