Spamming Party

Seriously, I see a lot of it, and I think it is time someone else makes a thread about it again. Yes, I say again. I know that someone else did a thread on it, but it is obviously forgotten once again. Maybe it is in the Announcements. Eh, I'm too lazy to look right now.

Considering most people do not know what spam is, I feel the need to address it. Besides, VWW is full of spam, and I refuse to PM everyone about it. So, here I am, obviously wasting my time. What time you ask? I don't really know. None of my time is used doing thing productive or anything.

What is Spam?

A great question to ask. Honestly, I'm not sure I knew what it was until I played a site called Horseisle. Spam is a number of things actually.
1. Posting messages one after another with no one else posting in between. Editing your posts would be a great idea.
2. Posting an 'lol' or a 'rofl' is considered spam around here. It has no content.
3. Nonsense posts such as 'fksdjalfj;asd'.
4. Posting useless information such as, 'I just stubbed my toe' is just, well, I don't know how to put it delicately. Stuff like that should be in Out Of Character.
5. Things that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. 'Please Join My Site!' would go in this category. Besides, that's against the rules to have anywhere out of the Advertisement Board.
6. Posting just to post to help you get enough posts to become an Apprentice or a Warrior. (Thanks, Ghostkit.)

7. Anything less than three words is considered spam. (Thanks, Hawktalon.)

How do I edit my posts?

This is quite simple. You just go to the post you want to edit and click, 'Modify'. Then, just type whatever you want to add and then click 'Modify Post' when you are all done. Get it? Got it? Good. Now, let us move on.

But, 'lol' is content.

Need I also add that it is pointless? Yes, you can say 'lol' in Out of Character, but also add something else to the post!

What will happen if I spam?

Well, one of two things, possibly both. I guess it depends on who catches you and how much.
1. You could get your post count docked.
2. You could get a warning on your account.
Both of those depend on how much you actually have spammed, and for how long.

What is Out Of Character?

This is commonly referred to as OOC. This is things that you want to say, yet whatever you are RPing is not saying. This would be like, 'BRB', 'My head hurts', or 'I think I should have a party'. OOC can easily be expressed by using ( ) or [ ]. So please, do us all a favor and please use OOC.

What can I do to help?

Let's start with the easy part; don't spam! If you see spam, kindly ask the person to delete it and tell them what spam is. If they continue to spam, tell one of the Staff to tell them. It is much easier on us all if you help us.


This doesn't have much to do with spam, but I feel like posting it here anyways. Please, space out what you have after a sentence. It is hard to read stuff that is like this.I think it is anyway.I have to read it more carefully when you do this.
I can see not using capitals, because most people don't. If you are going to use punctuation, and least put a space after it. I don't care about your grammar. Clearly, I don't have perfect grammar. I do care about my eyes, which putting a space after your punctuation would help.

So, if you want to remember spam, I guess I can help you out by providing you a terrible acronym to remember it with.
